Steel-bonded cemented carbide products can be subjected to various heat treatment operations as needed to meet the requirements of different molds in terms of performance. Especially after quenching and tempering, typical tempered martensite+alloy carbide+uniformly distributed hard phase structure can be obtained, which ensures the performance requirements of die materials such as strength, hardness and toughness, and forms an effective wear-resistant surface at the same time, which improves the wear resistance of steel-bonded cemented carbide die. The composition of steel bonded cemented carbide can be flexibly adjusted according to the requirements of die performance and process performance. As the matrix and bonding phase of steel-bonded cemented carbide, the steel grade can be changed widely according to the needs.
Compared with alloy dies, steel-bonded cemented carbide dies are more expensive, but their service life can be increased by ten times to dozens of times, which can reduce the consumption of dies and the time required for replacing dies. They can be embedded in the key parts of the mold, thus improving the processing quality and accuracy of the products.
