Strength and design of industrial steel platform beams and columns

Reinforced concrete beams and columns are the two most basic types of components in reinforced concrete structures. Various forms of structures can be formed through different combinations of beams and columns. In order to study the mechanical performance and failure modes of beams and columns in different environments, the testing device shown in Figure 2-1 is commonly used to conduct basic beam and column tests in the laboratory. The load-displacement (deformation) relationship of beams and columns can be determined through the data recorded by force sensors, displacement gauges and strain gauges during the test; the damage patterns of beams and columns can be determined by the occurrence and development of component cracks after loading. This chapter conducts computer simulation of the test process and test results from two aspects: the load-displacement relationship of beams and columns and the failure process of beams and columns, based on the constitutive relationship of steel bars and concrete materials, and strives to combine the results observed in the laboratory The phenomenon is vividly reproduced on the computer screen.
