This project is to conscientiously implement the spirit of the instructions of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government to "build a strong cultural province" and the municipal party committee and the municipal government to "build a regional cultural highland", with the theme of promoting Dezhou's history and culture, Dongzi Reading Desk as the main scene and Confucianism as the theme, and it is an important supporting project of Dongzi Reading Desk Scenic Area. With the help of the Sand King River system and the natural landforms on both sides of the waterfront, this project plans and designs an antique cultural business district with the characteristics of South China and Qinhuai, focusing on displaying ancient Chinese culture and regional culture with Dezhou characteristics. The first phase of Cultural Street is dominated by Huizhou architecture, with gray-white as the main color and bright white walls and large windows, which highlights the outstanding design ideas of coexistence of traditional commercial formats and modern commercial formats, and organic integration of ancient architectural styles and today's design concepts. The whole business district is about 1000 meters long from north to south. The second and third floors of the building are divided into five east-west commercial streets, of which the West Street rises from the ground, forming a "Tianjie" with a width of about 15m and a length of more than 200m on the first floor. This block model is the first in Texas and its surrounding areas. The regionality, culture and times embodied in the second phase of Dongzi Cultural Street are the most critical factors in architectural design. Its architectural design tries to find the basis from the region, enhance the cultural connotation and show it in a modern way. The main color of the building is grayish red, with cornices and arches. The roof is flat, solemn, generous and magnificent, which highlights the architectural style of Chinese style and Tang rhyme, and is in harmony with the reading platform complex in Dongzi. The water system passes through the middle of the second phase plot, and lotus flowers are planted in the river. Every summer, the lotus leaves are flourishing and the lotus flowers are in full bloom, which makes it unique.
During the construction of the first phase of Dongzi Cultural Street, in order to commemorate Dongzi (Dong Zhongshu) and provide a good leisure place for the citizens, a "Fan Lu Square" with an area of about 4,000 square meters was built with an investment of10,000 yuan. The three streets of Dongzi Cultural Street were named Shuntian Street, Bowen Street and Chenghuai Street, which extracted the essence of Confucian culture. The whole block is divided into six areas with different commercial characteristics, such as celebrity calligraphy and painting area, mahogany furniture root carving strange stone area, antique folk art area, gold and silver jewelry jade area, gourmet tea art area and commercial service area. It covers celebrity calligraphy and painting, antique stone, mahogany furniture, gold jewelry, jade jewelry, Dezhou black pottery, stamp magnetic cards, stationery, books and newspapers, audio-visual products, paper-cut clay sculptures, arts and crafts, folk art, as well as classical teahouses, modern bars, special restaurants, local famous foods, local specialties and other cultural and artistic levels. At the same time, we recruit cultural institutions, art galleries, cultural relics appreciation institutions, auction companies and so on. It is equipped with more than 5,000 square meters of China Dezhou Dongzi Culture Street Art Museum, 10 artist studio, VIP reception room, lecture hall, painting and calligraphy exhibition hall, auction trading hall and other service facilities. Dezhou Artists Association, Collectors Association, Photographers Association, Dong Zi Cultural Research Association, Book Collection Association and Canal Culture Promotion Association have all settled in Dongzi Cultural Street. Dongzi Cultural Street has become a veritable cultural highland, collection base and tourist attraction, and an important activity place for artists in our province and our city. At the same time, it can radiate Beijing and Tianjin to the north, Jinan to the south and Shijiazhuang to the west, and become a new place for tourism, leisure, cultural exchange and shopping for Dezhou citizens and surrounding areas.
