Huo Guang (? Confucius was born in Pingyang (now southwest of Linfen, Shanxi) in the Western Han Dynasty and the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He is Huo Qubing's half-brother, and Huo Qubing is a famous general in ancient times. As a teenager, he came to Beijing with his brother Huo Qubing.
Huo Qubing recommended him to the palace and became a Langguan of Solvay Palace. Huo Guang was deeply loved by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty because of his kindness, intelligence and preciseness. Later, he was gradually promoted to a servant (guarding the emperor in the imperial palace). A few years later, Huo Qubing died, and Emperor Wu promoted him to Doctor Guanglu (an official around the emperor). He often traveled in a chariot with the emperor and waited on him when he returned to the palace.
In this way, Huo Guang worked beside Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty for more than 20 years. He is always honest and reliable, correct and rigorous, and always careful, and has never made any mistakes. When he was a waiter, he kept in mind that his duty was to guard the emperor, so every time he went out of the palace, he set off at a fixed point and stopped at a fixed point. Someone secretly followed him to make a mark, and he calculated the amount accurately afterwards, which shows his caution. His excellent quality was rewarded by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty.
Young master assisted testamentary edict
Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was in his seventies and was sickly. Because Prince Wei committed suicide in the "witchcraft disaster", the prince is undecided. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty knew that he would not live long, and he was very worried about what would happen after his death. One of the most important things is to establish a prince as soon as possible to avoid chaos in the country after his death. At that time, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty had three sons. Yan Wang Liu Dan and Guangling Wang Liu Xu are brothers. They are usually arrogant and illegal and can't be princes. However, the youngest son, Fuling, was only seven years old, but Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty wanted to make him a prince. Therefore, I want to find a loyal and reliable minister to assist the young prince first.
Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, who was good at knowing people and employing people, thought that only Huo Guang, the minister of the DPRK, could shoulder this heavy responsibility, so he wanted to entrust state affairs to Huo Guang. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty remembered the story of the ancient Duke of Zhou who helped him become a king when he was young. The Duke of Zhou once took Wang Xiaocheng and Lin Chao to meet the governors and inherited the unification. According to this story, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty drew a picture of the Duke of Zhou's back and gave it to Huo Guang. This picture implies that Huo Guang will assist the young master Fuling in the future just as the Duke of Zhou assisted him as a king.
Huo Guang was deep and calm, and didn't think about the intention of this painting given to him by Emperor Wu.
A year later, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was critically ill. Huo Guang asked Emperor Wu with tears: "If anything happens to your majesty, who will inherit the throne?" Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty clearly said at this moment: "Make my youngest son Fu Ling a prince, and you will perform the duty of the Duke of Zhou as king. Don't you understand the meaning of the painting I gave you last year? "
Huo Guang kowtowed and declined, saying, "I'm not as good as Jin Richen (Xiongnu defected general)."
On his deathbed, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty appointed Huo Guang as General Fu, General Riding, General Shangguan as Left, and General Su's surname Sang Hongyang as Suggestion, and asked them to * * * assist the Prince in governing the country under the leadership of Huo Guang.
The next day, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty died. Liu Yuxin succeeded to the throne in Fuling. He is Zhao Han.
Do one's duty for state affairs.
In 87 BC, Huo Guang received the testamentary edict from Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, shouldering the heavy responsibility of assisting the young master and governing the country, so he worked more diligently and cautiously, and always paid attention to the safety of the court. If one day, a strange phenomenon appears in the palace, all the officials will be frightened at night. Worried about the accident in the palace, Huo Guang summoned the Langguan who kept the imperial seal and asked him to keep it for himself. But Lang Guan was also loyal to his duties and refused to give the decree to Huo Guang. Huo Guang wants to snatch the imperial seal. Lang Guan holds the sword handle and presses the decree. He said to Huo Guang, "I can give you my head. It is impossible to seal the emperor. "
At that time, although Huo Guang was angry when he hit a snag, Huo Guang admired Lang Guan's loyalty to his duties afterwards and ordered him to be promoted to two levels the next day. His imperial spirit of disregarding personal grievances, acting impartially and clearly rewarding and punishing has been admired by North Korean officials, and his prestige is increasing day by day.
In the second year of Zhao Di's accession to the throne, Jin Chan, minister of Fuzheng and motorcycle general, died. He has two sons, Jin Shang and Jin Jian, who are good friends of Zhao Di, the Emperor of the Han Dynasty. They often play together and sometimes live together. Emperor Gaozu Zhao Di saw that their father was dead, so he wanted to take care of them according to the situation. Emperor Zhao and Huo Guang discussed and said, "The Jin family has only two brothers now, so let's call them Hou!"
Huo Guang said, "The eldest son, Jin Jing, inherited his father's title and was made Hou. This is done according to the system. As for the second son Jin Jian, it cannot be sealed. "
The young emperor Zhao Di didn't take Huo Guang's words seriously. He smiled and said to Huo Guang, "I'm the emperor, and it's not up to me to make them emperors. This is not a big deal. "
Huo Guang immediately said seriously, "Those who fail in work cannot be sealed. This is the rule set by Emperor Gaozu. How can the emperor change easily! "
Then he declared that he couldn't let Jin Jian be the boss, and finally persuaded Zhao Han.
Huo Guang took the opportunity to teach Emperor Zhao how to be a good emperor and said to Emperor Zhao, "The people are still thinking about Emperor Xiaowen and Emperor Han Jing." Zhao Di, Emperor Gaozu, didn't quite understand and asked, "Why do people miss them?" Huo Guang said: "Because they are good to the people."
Therefore, Zhao Di, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, also understood that to govern the country well, we must care for the people. The two began to discuss ways to calm people's hearts. First, all counties should recommend talents; Second, investigate and deal with dereliction of duty officials; Third, rehabilitate the wrongs of the framed person; Fourth, appease the lonely and poor. In order to develop agricultural production, every spring ploughing, Huo Guang sends people to various places to check the production situation, and the government lends seeds and grain to the poor who lack food and seeds. Autumn letter: "The seeds and grain lent to the poor in spring will not be recovered, and this year's land rent tax will be exempted."
After receiving the imperial edict, the poor told each other pleasantly, saying; "Another emperor of China has come." As the people all know, all these are the benefits brought to the people by Huo Guang, the Fu general who assisted in governing the country, and his reputation has been improved accordingly.
