Yumen Town is located in the middle of Yanbian County, with obvious geographical advantages. It is adjacent to Yugan Township and Lima Township in the east, Gaoping Township and Huimin Township in the south, Yongxing Town and Sheng Qiang Township in the west, and Xinping Township and Longsheng Township across the lake in the north. Yumen Town has convenient land and water transportation, and is the transportation hub and distribution center of township trade materials in the central and northern regions. The provincial road "2 16" runs through the north and south of the town, with cars going directly to Panzhihua, the new county town of Yanbian, the steel city, and Lugu Lake Scenic Area, known as the Oriental Daughter Country, in the west. It takes only 2 hours by boat to reach Ertan Dam, the highest dam in Asia. Yumen Town covers an area of 2 10 square kilometers, governs 15 villages, 1 market town neighborhood committee and 65 natural villagers' groups. The whole town has rolling hills and ravines, and the forest vegetation coverage rate reaches 67%. It belongs to the south subtropical three-dimensional climate, with the characteristics of "windy winter and spring, rainy summer night, no severe cold in winter, no intense heat in summer, high temperature in daytime, low temperature at night, little frost and snow in winter and rainy summer", with an annual average temperature of 20.4℃ and a cumulative temperature of 7450℃. The annual rainfall is about 1 100 mm, which integrates the heat in the south and the light in the north. Being regarded as a natural greenhouse, it is suitable for planting a variety of famous fruit trees in the subtropical zone. Mainly agriculture, the main agricultural products are: rice, wheat, corn, cocoon, pig, fish, eggs, loquat, pepper and vegetables. Mushrooms, fungus, bracken and chicken brown are the main local specialties.
