Kunming, which is more than 2,000 meters above sea level, feels a bit erratic. It's midsummer, with strong sunlight and ultraviolet rays, but air conditioning is rarely used. The driver said that if you can find shade in Kunming, you should find it. The seasons are like spring, so it is better to escape from summer.
Yunnan has a long sunshine time because of its low latitude. At eight o'clock in the evening, young people in Shanghai may be texting each other and having a meeting to "watch the meteor shower". The sunset in Kunming has just been staged in sight. The next day, I drove to the scenic Shilin. There is a sea of rocks here. The love legends about "Ashima" and "Brother Ahei" are timeless, and the strange rocks solidify the ballads of the local people of the times.
In fact, the search for the "Southern Silk Road" began after going to mangshi. There are not many tourist attractions in mangshi, but it extends in all directions and is an important transit point. The memorial hall where Zhou Enlai explored the national border with the Burmese government in those days, and the Tabaoshu on the playground of a primary school in Pian 'an are also worth visiting.
It's about an hour's drive to the border town of Ruili. In rainy season, the rain is cadence. According to our tour guide, Miss A Dai introduced that the climate in Yunnan is "one mountain is divided into four seasons, and ten miles is different from the sky". People hover in Shan Ye and clouds with the wheels, and the temperature changes greatly because of the altitude.
Phoenix tail bamboo, Dai village, buffalo, mango forest ... looking at the original scenery all the way, driving into Ruili, my eyes did not feel tired. Think about the business travel on the South Silk Road. Will you forget the hardships because of "parking and sitting in love"?
Ruili is a stone's throw away from Myanmar, and Yunnan bait silk and jewelry processing can be called a swan song. Ruili jewelry exchange is said to be second to none in China. Jewelry merchants from mainland China, Hongkong, Taiwan Province and Southeast Asian countries gather here almost every day to conduct extremely primitive and simple jewelry transactions. Therefore, as a tourist, it is not a luxury to find some treasures to go home if you know the goods.
By the way, there is a "Taobao market" in the suburb of Ruili. Tourists wear hats and walk barefoot in the gurgling stream, looking for gem particles with ancient Taobao tools. I gained a lot in half an hour. If I am not afraid of heatstroke, it is not too much to go to dusk.
Going to Myanmar through Ruili is like going from one dam to another, if there is no strict border inspection. In fact, due to a large number of jewelry transactions, Ruili itself is like a city with mixed ethnic groups. Maybe you occasionally walk in the street, and the unheard-of language is mixed with shouts, but you can feel the freedom of communication between people-because when language does not become an inevitable means of communication, the freedom of communication is natural and obvious.
By the way, remind my later friend that Ruili's night is really as perfect as her name.
Hupo Tengchong
Tengchong is an important place for our trip, and it is also the place I want to take the time to introduce. It is a "first city on the edge of the polar region" with a history of thousands of years, close to Gaoligong volcano. Fortunately, I met Dai Bin, the owner of Ruili Yongchang Hotel, a local historian full of anecdotes. He filled the South Silk Road with interest and depth.
The significance of Tengchong lies not only in its antiquity, but also in its nature. The eternal history of Gaoligong Mountain and volcano makes Tengchong a piece of amber melted in the earth structure. It takes about four or five days to travel around Tengchong, and it may take four or five years to understand Tengchong.
Arriving in Tengchong on the same day, I first visited the hometown of Heshun Overseas Chinese, which is called "the first village of postal business travel". Heshun township after the rain, lying quietly in the vast world of the western plateau. In the east of the village, a Hengduan mountain with "high ridges" stands in the background of the stage and stretches for hundreds of miles. In the west, it is the "savage side" of a misty and rainy land.
It is said that the village originated in the Han Dynasty, and Heshun has the longest history of going abroad in Yunnan. A long time ago, villagers, rich or poor, and men from generation to generation always left their homes to seek gold in Myanmar and beyond. Those who return home dressed in fine clothes will build a magnificent road home, and those who get lost will enter the door along the wall on a moonlit night. There are even men who died in other places, and they brought back a series of cries ... Historical scene descriptions can't replace field trips. There are several places you can't miss to Heshun Township. First, Heshun Library. Hu Shi's description of the library and the boldness of classical books are simply not like rural libraries. Second, the house. Third, the earliest girls' school in Yunnan. In my opinion, this is the fossil that can best reflect the overseas consciousness of Heshun Township.
When you come to Tengchong, the volcano is a must-see landscape. If it is cloudy, you really can't tell whether the mountain is covered with dark clouds or filled with fireworks. Don't worry, the volcano here is dormant, and people in the mountains have long been used to his temper.
But compared with the ornamental nature of the volcano, its participation is even more unforgettable. Volcanic hot springs and cupping are the most popular fitness methods in Tengchong. Hot springs need no explanation, but the pitcher is unique. When farmers in the mountains stick bamboo tubes emitting boiling spring heat to their acupoints one by one, and then pull them out, you will feel as free as a volcano ... in fact, Tengchong is not as free as a volcano. It used to be full of passion, but now it has been sleeping for a long time. The "Southern Silk Road" has many twists and turns. When we trudge here in the footsteps of our ancestors today, we may have more feelings. ...
