Guangdong Jewelry and Precious Metals Testing Center (GTC), also known as Guangdong Technical Supervision Jewelry and Precious Metals Quality Inspection Station, was established in 1995. 1996 obtained CAL examination certificate and CMA measurement certificate, and then successively obtained CNAL laboratory certificate, CNAS certificate and Guangdong Jewelry, Jade and Precious Metals Testing Center. It has developed from a conventional gem identification laboratory to one of the largest laboratories in China.

Gtc is not only an inspection institution authorized by Guangdong Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision with the qualification of market supervision and spot check, but also an internationally recognized inspection institution with a certificate issued by China Laboratory Accreditation Committee. It is also the only inspection and appraisal unit of Guangdong jewelry consumption disputes designated by Guangdong Consumer Council and Guangdong Gold, Silver and Jewelry Chamber of Commerce. Every year, it solves hundreds of consumer disputes for Guangdong jewelry sales units and consumers, and is well received by consumer committees, chambers of commerce associations, sales enterprises and consumers all over the province. Guangdong Jewelry and Jade Testing Center, as a leader in jewelry and jade testing industry, is also a popular science base for jewelry and jade designated by the Ministry of Land and Resources and a popular science education base in Guangdong Province named by Guangdong Association for Science and Technology. Therefore, the authority of GTC in China has been unanimously recognized by the society and is reliable.

GTC in China has dozens of sets of conventional gem identification instruments, and it is also equipped with many large-scale instruments and equipment, such as infrared spectrometer, X-ray diffractometer, automatic diamond cutting rate measuring instrument, diamond observation instrument and ultraviolet-visible spectrometer. In terms of precious metal detection, it has large-scale advanced instruments and equipment such as Quant'X energy dispersive spectrometer, precious metal precision tester, microbeam XRF gold jewelry analyzer and ICP. At present, Guangdong Jewelry, Jade and Precious Metals Testing Center has 9 national jewelry appraisers, ranking first among all quality inspection institutions in China. 32 registered national jewelry and jade quality inspectors; Dozens of FGA jewelry appraisers, GIC, GAC and DGA diamond appraisers.
