GAC Examination for Jewelry Appraisal of China Gemstone Association
The examination time is March 8 every year, and the examination fee is about 1000 yuan. The examination conditions are:
1. Cultural background: College degree or above or equivalent.
2. Professional foundation: one of the following three situations:
(1) Engaged in gem identification or gem-related rock and mineral identification for more than 3 years;
(2) Bachelor degree or above in gemology;
(3) Those who have obtained the qualification certificate of gem appraisal issued by relevant international organizations.

The qualification certificate of the Bureau of Quality and Technology is tested every two years. I passed last year, so I won't take the exam this year.
China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association GAC Gem Appraiser Qualification Examination
Since its launch in March, the Education Committee of China Jewelry Industry Association has successfully held the 33rd national unified "Qualification of Gem Appraiser of China Jewelry Industry Association". 1996. This move has won the support of relevant leading departments and the praise of the masses in the jewelry industry. After research, it is decided to hold the national unified examination twice a year. The relevant specific matters are hereby notified as follows.
I. Application conditions
1. Cultural background: College degree or above or equivalent, or college student.
2, professional foundation:
There are four situations:
A) Jewelry lovers, collectors, jewelry enterprises or jewelry store operators, and people who are ready to open stores.
B) Engaged in gem identification or gem-related rock and mineral identification for more than 3 years;
C) College degree or above in gemology;
D) Those who have obtained the qualification certificate of gem appraisal issued by relevant international institutions.
Second, the examination content, subjects and methods
1. For the examination contents, please refer to the Outline of Qualification Examination for Gem Appraisers of China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association (2002 edition).
2. The examination is divided into two subjects: appraisal theory examination and appraisal skill examination. Only those who pass the theoretical examination and appraisal skill examination can obtain the certificate.
3. The appraisal theory examination adopts the closed-book examination method, and the examination paper includes true or false questions, fill-in-the-blank questions and multiple-choice questions, and all the questions must be completed within 2.5 hours. Scoring system 100%, with 75 points passing.
4. The appraisal skill examination adopts the open-book examination method. Participants can bring identification instruments, but they are not allowed to bring specimens or colorimetric stones and any reference materials. During the inspection, each participant will randomly select one set of samples from multiple sets of samples, and each set of samples contains 20 bare stones or small sculptures. The examination time is 3.5 hours. Specimens should be correctly named and recorded according to the requirements of inspection and signature.
Three, the examination proposition, grading and qualification
1. According to the unified examination outline, the examination committee is responsible for organizing the proposition (including standard answers).
2. After the proposition is audited and sealed, it will be submitted as an anonymous volume. The answer sheet is graded by the examination Committee and the final evaluation is made.
3. Those who pass the examination shall be reported to China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association after being examined and signed by the examiners. Approved by China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association, China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association issued the qualification certificate of China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association.
4. The qualified scores of single subjects shall be kept for 2 years.
Fourth, pre-test training
According to the requirements of the unified examination syllabus formulated by China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association, Zhengzhou Dida Jewelry Education and Training School in Henan Province organizes different types of training courses according to the specific conditions and requirements of different basic candidates to help candidates prepare for the exam.

3. Examination qualification examination

5. Those who pass the single subject (theory or appraisal) in each issue will be required to pay the single subject examination fee (300 yuan in theory and 400 yuan in technology) if they apply for the single subject in the next issue.
