Tibetan offerings
Tibetans have a traditional etiquette and hobby, that is, offering sacrifices in large quantities, even in Tibetan paintings. In Tibetan paintings, jewelry, fruits and flowers are often offered as offerings, which is the standard for worshipping deities and Buddhists. Similarly, Thangka's paintings are decorated with brocade, the robes worn by statues of gods and buddhas are made of the best materials, and the scriptures are wrapped in cotton, silk or brocade, all of which are symbols of reverence for Buddhism. In order to show respect for the Buddha, it can also be expressed by gilding and decorating metal statues. Pagodas built outdoors should also be carefully maintained and decorated with instructions to express reverence for Buddhism.
Issue form
The offering of Tibetan religious tradition is that "Domar" has various shapes, different colors (including white, red and yellow) and different sizes (see plates 17 and 18). "Doma" is made of highland barley noodles, the staple food of Tibetans. If only Thomas is sacrificed, the appearance of Thomas is relatively simple; However, if it is used for practice purposes, the shape of "Domar" will be varied, and the surface of "Domar" has decorative patterns and ghee sculptures of various colors. There are also special ritual books about making offerings of Sodom. These books describe the properties of Domar, draw product drawings of Domar suitable for various occasions, and point out the technical procedures to be followed in making Domar. Those who offer offerings of "Sodom" can offer all kinds of "Sodom" through the gods and buddhas, and gain more good deeds and merits.
