Panyu Bus Terminal was built in 2002, completed in June 2004 and officially put into use in June 2004. The passenger station is planned and built according to the needs of the development of Panyu modern city, in order to cooperate with the development of transportation industry and improve the passenger traffic situation in the central city. It is the main hub station for passenger transport on the southern highway in Guangzhou and the largest hub station in Guangzhou at present.
