In 2008, the Wenchuan earthquake was a huge disaster, and Wenchuan received help from many people in society, including compatriots in Taiwan Province Province. On February 23rd, 2008, 65438 Wenchuan presented giant pandas Yuan Yuan and Tuan Tuan and 17 Davidia involucrata saplings to Taiwan Province Province, expressing deep gratitude to Taiwan Province Province.

These 17 Davidia involucrata saplings donated to Taiwan Province Province all came from Beichuan County, which was seriously affected at that time.

Davidia involucrata, as a national first-class protected wild plant, has a small existing number and has reached an endangered state. Davidia involucrata is more picky about the living environment than ordinary trees, and likes places where the air is cold and humid. Mainly adapted to live in the mixed forest at an altitude of 1, 500 meters to 2200 meters. Therefore, it is not easy to plant artificially in a city like Wuhan, and it is really unexpected to be able to blossom.

Davidia involucrata in Wuhan is four or five meters high. There are 15 flowers on this tree at present. The flower head is purple and looks like a pigeon's head. Two huge bracts hanging vertically are like wings flapping the pigeons about to fly. The breeze blew gently, and the flowers swayed with the leaves of Davidia involucrata, just like a lattice dancing in the green leaves, attracting many people to stop and watch and punch in for photos.
