Commonwealth countries are organizations that Britain exerts political, military, financial, economic and cultural influence on other members of the Commonwealth. They are a consortium of Britain and independent former British colonies or dependent countries, with 53 member countries. They are: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh People's Republic, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Brunei Darussalam, Cameroon, Canada, Cyprus, Dominica and Fiji Islands. India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius and Mozambique. Independent State of Papua New Guinea, Federated States of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Independent State of Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Tanzania and Tonga.
