There are many prostitutes in Jiangnan since ancient times, and there are many beautiful prostitutes in Shui Mei, Xiushan, Qiantang, and Su Xiaoxiao in Nanqi is one of them. Su Xiaoxiao was born in a wealthy family in Qiantang. Her family was an official in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. After Jin's death, her family went to Qiantang. Su family used the gold, silver and jewels they carried with them as capital to do business in Qiantang. In Su Xiaoxiao's parents' generation, he has become a local rich businessman. Su Xiaoxiao is the only daughter of her parents, so she has been regarded as the apple of her eye since she was a child. She was named Xiaoxiao because she was delicate and petite. Although the Su family is a merchant's home, it has followed the legacy of the ancestral incense book, and the clever Su Xiaoxiao is deeply influenced by it. He has been able to write good poems since he was a child. Unfortunately, the good times did not last long. When Su Xiaoxiao was fifteen, his parents died one after another. Su Xiaoxiao lost his dependence and still lives in the old courtyard in the city. Seeing things and thinking about people is easy to cause sadness, so I sold the real estate in the city and moved to the west with my wet nurse Jia Yi. After the news spread, officials, businessmen and celebrities from Qiantang came to visit the West Cold Bridge. However, Su Xiaoxiao fell in love with Ruan Yu, a famous son, and they were inseparable. After all, casual marriage lacks foundation. Half a year later, Ruan Yu's father heard that his son was mixing prostitutes in Qiantang, Jiankang, and immediately sent someone to call Ruan Yu back, and kept him at home under strict supervision, forbidding him to go out for half a step. After Ruan Yu left, Su Xiaoxiao stayed at home and looked up at the sky all day, waiting for his lover's return. A month has passed, and there is no sign of my lover; A year has passed, and there is not even any news. Su Xiaoxiao from longing, disappointment to despair, finally fell ill in bed. At this time, I met a scholar-Bao Ren, who went to Beijing to take the exam, but the travel expenses were short, so he couldn't make it. Su Xiaoxiao sold her jewelry and gave her all the money to help her. The following spring, Su Xiaoxiao caught some colds and was depressed because he could not get treatment. At the age of 24, she is so fragrant and so lost. At this time, Baoren was already the first in the capital, and was ordered to be the secretariat of Sliding State. When he arrived at his post, he stopped by Qiantang, and went to the West Cold Bridge to thank Su Xiaoxiao, but just in time for her funeral. Bao Ren wept bitterly with a white crown in white, and then buried her in an excellent landscape not far from Xilong Bridge according to Su Xiaoxiao's entrustment to Jia Yi. A monument was erected in front of the tomb, engraved with "Tomb of Su Xiaoxiao in Qiantang."
Later, many literati and poets who came to Qiantang volunteered to pay their respects at Su Xiaoxiao's grave, so the local people built a "Mucai Pavilion" in front of her grave to provide shelter for those who came to pay their respects. On the pavilion, there is a couplet:
For thousands of years, the name has remained forever, and the romance of the Six Dynasties is cool in the west.
