I study geology, but I want to develop into jewelry appraisal in the future. What knowledge should I know now?
First of all, it is useless for you to learn or understand knowledge. The theory of jewelry appraisal is based on practice. No matter how powerful the theory is, it can't be practiced. You can only say that you are a jewelry lover. You can name one, two or three.

Secondly, I graduated from jewelry appraisal. You know that if you want to be an appraiser, you must have a certificate. If you want to do jewelry appraisal in China, for example, if you enter a quality inspection agency, you must "take the CGC". Also known as the National Certified Appraiser. Just like the more influential GIC and NGTC certificates in China, they can only represent certificates that have been educated in this field, and most of them are certificates that students and laymen of this major want to enter the jewelry industry. The qualification certificates of these two appraisers cannot be used as practicing certificates. The most influential certificates of GIA American Jewellery Institute, FGA Royal Jewellery Institute and IGI International Jewellery Institute in the world are the most influential jewelry appraisal certificates in the world, but the price is tens of thousands of dollars, and it is difficult to test. Some appraisal standards are different from those in China. FGA can be tested directly in the Jewelry College of China Geo University. GIA can take the exam directly in the Jewelry College of China Geo University, but it is not recommended, because if you are determined to be a jewelry appraiser, you must take the CGC exam. This is a jewelry appraiser registered in China, preferably with CGC certificate from China CGC. However, if you lower yourself and join those small private appraisers, you can also take the GIC jewelry appraiser for about 3 months (gemology course 1 month, gem certificate course 1 month, diamond science 1 month). I will give you certificates in three subjects. With these three certificates, I will give you a GIC jewelry appraiser certificate directly. Don't worry, there is nothing more practical than my answer. I learned it from appraisers of major quality inspection institutes all over the country. They are all my teachers.
