Ziyundong Scenic Area is an independent limestone mountain cave in Babu Basin, which is a feldspar mountain formed by sea level rising during the geological fission in Zhu-Luo period. The appearance of this rocky mountain is only 100 meters high and about 800 meters long. However, after10.9 billion years of karst erosion, its underground karst cave is about 6 kilometers long, and an underground river appears and disappears in the cave. At present, the development distance is only 1 several kilometers, and the cave area is about 10000 square meters. The name of Ziyun Cave comes from the underground river in the cave, which is warm in winter and cool in summer. In winter, the heating in the cave is sprayed from the mouth of the cave, forming a purple mist floating in the cave mouth, so it is called Ziyun Cave. It was formed/kloc-0.90 billion years ago, but when the sea level rose, the soil in the cave naturally dissolved for a long time, and then the calcium carbonate crystals in the cave experienced a long accumulation process, and various stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone curtains, rockfall dams and cave beads slowly grew and formed. Therefore, the natural landscape of Ziyun Cave developed late. Compared with many natural cave landscapes, Ziyun Cave is like a newly grown cave.
There are more than 30 scenic spots in Ziyun Cave, each of which is different. It shows the beauty of nature to tourists with its exquisiteness and magnificence.
Ziyundong is a temple in Yaochi. The stone curtain and vines in the cave hang like a human stage. There is a natural stage with beautiful images of ladies-in-waiting, surrounded by statues of bodhisattvas and arhats, and there are Tiens, Tengu and Jade Rabbit in the audience. Millennium ganoderma lucidum and jade bamboo shoots are also growing on the rocky mountain, and snow lotus is in full bloom in the distance. The Empress Dowager has all kinds of silks and satins, jewels, jades and jadeite agates.

The core scenic spot in the cave is the complete collection of Hezhou scenic spots, with the tranquility of Gupo Mountain, the strangeness of Shilin, the leisure of Lu Hua hot springs and the elegance of Fushan Mountain. An underground river fell from the cave air, forming a floating waterfall on the stone curtain. The water is like the music of spring. The pool under the waterfall is crystal clear, huge water lilies bloom in the lotus pond, and the underground river falls into a pool several meters deep. On both sides of the underground river, farmers ploughing fields, fishermen casting nets, bookworms herding cattle, rhinoceroses, stubborn monkeys, eagles and Shi Wa are all vivid.
