Are the jewels of Shunzhi period valuable?
In 2006, the scene of Yuquan Road in Shijingshan became lively, and the construction team accidentally dug up a mummy. It stands to reason that there is nothing unusual about a mummy, and there are countless things dug up by the construction team.

However, this mummy gives people an unusual feeling, and her body reveals a strange smell. Even weirder, this mummy is wearing a dragon robe inside and a top-grade military attache robe outside.

Judging from the style of dragon robe, it belongs to the style of dragon robe of Qing emperor. So is this mummy the emperor of the Qing Dynasty? Some experts published their own inference after studying it, and thought that this mummy was the emperor shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty. Is this inference correct?

?

The picture comes from the internet: the mummy unearthed.

First, let's look at the authenticity of this dragon robe. After investigation by experts, it has been ruled out as a fake or high imitation, because this dragon robe is made of real gold.

If someone wants to fake it to gain popularity, there is no need to spend so much money. Other details are also well done, which is no different from the dragon robe of the Qing emperor.

Experts also found some funerary objects, another dragon robe and many royal items, such as jewelry and jade. In addition, a large number of coins engraved with the words "Kangxi Bao Tong" were found.

It can be concluded that this mummy should have died in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty.

As we all know, the rulers of the Qing Dynasty forced their hair to be shaved and braided, which was regarded as a symbol of whether to submit to the Qing Dynasty or not. Not leaving a braid is disobedience to the rule of the Qing dynasty, and it will be regarded as a disorderly people and will be beheaded.

But in front of this mummy, there is no braid, but a bun. If this man is really the emperor of the Qing Dynasty, he should abide by the rules of the imperial court system. So this is also a big doubt, which is unpredictable.

In addition, there is a big question. The mummy's coffin reads: "Huang Qing gave Dr. Zhong Xianzhuo the coffin of Huang Wu Palace." This should be the identity information of the mummy. His name is Huang Zhuowu and his position is Dr. Zhong Xian.

Since he is only Zhong Xian's doctor, why does he wear a dragon robe? Does he have the desire to be an emperor? So later generations dressed him in a dragon robe after his death, and then covered him with the government?

For this question, some scholars boldly speculate that this "Huang Zhuowu" is probably not his real name, but a pseudonym. If we read the name upside down, it means "I am stupid", and then understand its meaning, it means "I am a deposed emperor".

If this statement is true, then all these doubts can be explained clearly. Because I used to be an emperor, it is not too much to wear a dragon robe, but after all, I was a deposed emperor, so I wore an official robe.

According to the inference that "the mummy was the deposed emperor", the scope of investigation was greatly reduced. As long as we look for the historical materials hidden in the deposed emperor in Kangxi period, we can get the real information of the mummy.

In this way, experts turned their attention to Kangxi's father, namely the emperor shunzhi. Coincidentally, the emperor shunzhi's final destination is also an unsolved mystery, and it has also become one of the "four great mysteries" in the early Qing Dynasty.

During the emperor shunzhi's reign, he was very fond of Princess Dong Hubei and gave her all his true feelings. However, Dong Fei was sickly and even weaker after giving birth to her son for Shunzhi.

I didn't expect the child to die young soon. Dong Ebi, who was hit by this, couldn't afford to die because of illness, only 22 years old. After Effie's death, the emperor shunzhi's life also fell into a dead silence. He repeatedly wanted to "live in seclusion in the mountains and practice alone", that is, retire from the mountains and concentrate on practicing.

So did the emperor shunzhi finally embark on the path of monasticism? Historians have always been controversial about this question, and there is no unified answer.

The official statement is this: Although the emperor shunzhi had the idea of becoming a monk, he was blocked by sourdrang dowager and finally failed to embark on the road of monasticism. Subsequently, the emperor shunzhi unfortunately contracted smallpox and died a few months later.

However, the folk story is exactly the opposite. The folk story goes like this: the emperor shunzhi finally became a monk, becoming a monk in Wutai Mountain or retiring to practice in other places. Generally speaking, people think that the emperor shunzhi finally became a monk.

If the folk view is correct, then the mummy on Yuquan Road in Shijingshan is reasonable. You know, although the Qing Dynasty explicitly stipulated that braids should be tied, it also stipulated that Taoist priests could tie their hair in bundles instead of braids.

Therefore, we can make an appropriate scenario deduction: After the death of Princess Dong 'e, the emperor shunzhi lost her attachment to life, so she decided to practice in Taoism.

Sourdrang dowager's repeated dissuasion had no effect, so he had to be deposed, and then Kangxi, who was only eight years old, was made the throne. A country's monarch becomes a monk, which has a great propaganda effect on Taoism, and even the emperor has become a Taoist.

But for the Qing dynasty, it was very unfavorable and detrimental to the royal majesty. In addition, in order to protect the safety of the emperor shunzhi after becoming a monk, sourdrang dowager can only announce that the emperor shunzhi has died and his body has been cremated.

All indications point to the emperor shunzhi, and this mummy is probably him. In addition, judging from the special appearance of this mummy, he should be around sixty years old when he died.

According to the folk saying, the emperor shunzhi became a monk for more than forty years, and should have died around forty years in Kangxi. According to his age, the two are also consistent.

Moreover, at this time, the Qing Dynasty could not hold a funeral for the emperor shunzhi, because once before, the emperor shunzhi's ashes (not his own) were buried in Dongling. Now that Shunzhi is really dead, the Qing royal family can only be buried in secret, and the address is Shijingshan.

The reason why I wear a dragon robe, a set of official clothes and make up a fake name is actually to hide people's eyes and ears.

Later, Ye Zhao, a forensic expert, restored the mummy's appearance and found that it had many similarities with Kangxi's portrait. In addition, the blood relationship between the two is also obvious. So the possibility that the mummy is the emperor shunzhi is greatly improved again.

But the evidence is only these for the time being, and the conclusion is still speculation, which needs further study by experts.

Ladies and gentlemen, do you think this mummy could be the emperor shunzhi?
