Turquoise, also known as Turkish jade, is a water phosphate of copper and aluminum, which belongs to phosphate minerals. The molecular structural formula is generally generated by water precipitation, and the color varies from blue-green to light green, and the hardness varies greatly. Turquoise is regarded as a gem, and blue is a precious variety. The ancients called turquoise "Bidianzi" and "Qinglang Stalk", while Europeans called it "Turkic Jade" or "Turkic Jade". In fact, Turkey does not produce turquoise. It is believed that turquoise was produced in ancient Persia and transported to Europe via Turkey. People think it is produced in Turkey, hence its name.
Second, the classification of turquoise
1. Porcelain pine, the polished luster feels like porcelain, the hardness is between 5.5 and 6, and the color is sky blue, which is the top grade of turquoise.

2, green pine, the hardness is lower than porcelain pine, generally between 4.5 and 5.5, and the color ranges from blue-green to bean green, which is medium green pine.
3. The surface porosity is also called foam porosity, and the hardness is below 4.5, which can be carved with a knife. Generally, it is light blue or moonlight white, which is inferior to loose surface. This kind of surface porosity is often artificially optimized by dipping glue and injecting wax to improve its quality and appearance.
4. iron pine. There are black limonite veinlets in turquoise, which make turquoise appear black turtle back grain, vein grain and reticulate turquoise varieties. The quality of iron pine mainly depends on the color of green pine itself and the aesthetic degree of iron wire distribution.
Crafts are classified according to color, texture, luster and block size. The closer the colors are, the better the sky blue and porcelain are. The denser the texture, the more flawless and lumpy it is, and the higher the value of turquoise is.
