Standard sample making
In order to make the standard sample applicable and easy to operate, the research group determined the specifications and production requirements of the standard sample through research:
1, the standard sample is a cuboid with a length of 3CM, a width of 2CM and a thickness of 1CM.
The thickness of the sample size is 1CM, which is usually selected when observing the transparency of mineralogy. Setting such a sample size is mainly due to the high price of Hetian jade raw materials. Too large a sample wastes resources, and too small a sample is not conducive to practical operation.
2. Samples should be cut and ground regularly, with smooth edges and good polishing.
Gloss is one of the important factors to evaluate the quality of Hetian jade, and different polishing methods have great influence on gloss. Therefore, the sample needs fine and good polishing, at the same time, it needs to be cut and polished regularly, and the edge line should be properly rounded to avoid the sharp edges and corners from damaging the sample during use.

3. Sample testing and analysis
Using the existing instrumental analysis methods, such as infrared spectrum, Raman spectrum, ICP laser plasma mass spectrometry, X-ray fluorescence spectrum, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer, cathodoluminescence, polarizing microscope structure analysis, etc. The color, texture, mineral composition, structure and other characteristics of Hetian jade were tested and analyzed by the research group without damage.
4, sample color test and analysis
The color test of Hetian jade samples was carried out twice. In 2008 and 20 1 1 year, a large number of Hetian jade samples were tested by spectrophotometer with brand HnnterLab and model LabScanXE.
The color values of Hetian jade with different colors were tested twice to find data support for their color differences.
