In my mind, there is a master of foreign literature, which can be called the master of turning around. He is/kloc-Mo Bosang, a famous French writer in the 9th century.
His three most famous short stories, boule de suif, My Uncle Yule and Necklace, are all classic stories with reversed story lines.
0 1
The story of boule de suif is based on the Franco-Prussian War. 10 Rouen residents decided to leave Rouen and fled to le havre by carriage. There is a prostitute named "boule de suif" in the car.
A Prussian officer stopped the passenger and asked boule de suif to spend the night with him. At first, boule de suif refused.
The passengers in the same car convinced her that it was right to do so with logical and moral examples. Finally, boule de suif was persuaded to spend the night with the officers. The next morning, the police released their car.
At this point in the story, there has been a reversal. According to common sense, the people in the car should be grateful to boule de suif from now on, because the police officer wouldn't let the car go if she hadn't promised to spend the night.
However, on the way out of the bus, people seem to have completely forgotten that they used "the representative of virtue" to persuade boule de suif, and began to neglect her and refused to share food with her. In a word, her dignity was swept away and she wept bitterly.

The reversal of uncle Yule's story is equally embarrassing. Uncle Yule used to be the one in the family who was not liked by his father.
Later, he went to America. Later, he wrote in succession that he had made some money and went home when he had money, hoping to make up for the debt he owed his father before.
The words in the letter had a great influence on my father and other family members. They think that Yule has made a fortune in America and seems to live a rich life.
Ten years later, they are still convinced. Because a letter written by Yule two years ago gave them hope like a gospel, although it was the last letter written by Yule to them.
With a small mind to get rich, he decided to take his family by boat to the island where you lived.
The reversal of the story happened on this ship. Father saw an oyster seller who looked like Santa Claus on the boat. After all, I haven't seen you for ten years, so I asked the captain.
When it was confirmed that this person was You, his father quietly took the whole family home by boat.

Necklace was selected as a middle school textbook. The ten-year fate of the heroine in the story has changed unexpectedly because of a necklace.
A beautiful diamond necklace she borrowed from a friend was accidentally lost after attending a party hosted by the minister. She thinks the necklace is so valuable that she and her husband dare not tell their friends the truth. They secretly borrowed usury from the jewelry store and bought a necklace that looked exactly like the lost necklace.
She and her husband worked hard for ten years to pay off the usury. When all the expenses and interest were finally paid off, the couple looked old.
If the story ends here, as readers, we will feel sympathy and regret for her experience, and we may imagine that if the necklace is not lost, the couple should not be burdened with high debts and will not live a hard life for ten years! Life should be a different story!
The reversal at the end of the story instantly hit the reader's heart. When the heroine paid off all her debts and got up the courage to tell her friend the truth, her friend told her another truth: the diamond necklace she lent her was fake.
The result of this reversal will really make people have mixed feelings and out-of-body experiences.
