The Black Pearl, formerly known as the Evil Girl, is a trading ship under the British East India Trading Company led by Beckett. Jack was appointed captain and ordered to deliver a batch of goods from Africa. But Jack found that these so-called "goods" were actually African slaves. Jack released them all out of a sense of justice.
The flying Dutchman, a legendary ghost ship that will never return home, is destined to drift at sea. In German, "fliegend" is used to express a state of continuous flight, describing the tragic fate that the cursed Dutch always drift at sea and sail everywhere, but never reach the shore.
