King Tota, surnamed Li, is a famous scene, which does exist in history. He was a native of Shaanxi and a famous soldier in the early Tang Dynasty. Emperor Taizong was the minister of war at that time. Because of his outstanding military exploits, he was named "Duke of Wei" after his death, and because he often appeared after his death, he saved the people from danger and the people built temples to worship them. So in the late Tang Dynasty, Li Jing was gradually deified. King Tota is one of the four great kings of Indian Buddhism in the north. After King Tota was introduced to China, influenced by China's culture and aesthetic consciousness, he showed remarkable cultural characteristics in China: wearing armor, wearing a golden wing and black crown, holding Tota in his left hand and a trident in his right hand. Pagoda is a symbol of Buddhism. Generally, there are pagodas in temples. Pagodas are places where Buddhists put scriptures, Buddhist objects and relics (the remains of a Taoist priest cremated after his death). Tang Priest often warned Wukong that "saving a life and building a seven-level pagoda" refers to the pagoda.
Among Buddhists in China, the King of the North is the predecessor of the King of Totali.
