Louvre Louvre Museum
Museums in Paris have many treasures. Take the Louvre as an example. It began collecting works of art 400 years ago. Once the largest palace in Europe, it is now the largest museum in the world, with 30,000 art treasures displayed in seven parts. The Louvre is located in the Quartier des Tuileries in Paris 1, and is separated from the Place de la Concorde by the Tuileries Garden. Tuileries Palace is also aristocratic because of its historic squares, elegant French gardens, artistic buildings, luxurious and well-known clusters of high-end hotels, restaurants, clothing stores and jewelry stores.
Most people visit the Louvre for the "treasures of the town hall", namely the Mona Lisa of Leonardo da Vinci, Venus of Milo and Victoria of Greece.
If time is limited, you can start to visit these three masterpieces, so you won't feel sorry. Fortunately, the "Three Treasures of the Town Hall" is not far away, and you can start browsing from the Statue of Victory between the stairs on the second and third floors.
Like Venus, this headless and armless victory statue belongs to the Hellenistic period (from the end of the 3rd century BC to the beginning of the 2nd century BC). It is about 2.75 meters high and stands proudly at the bow, guiding the soldiers to victory. It is undoubtedly one of the most emotional plastic arts works in the Hellenistic period. Next, you can make a pilgrimage to the second floor of Tianlong Pavilion, which is the Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo da Vinci in 1503. It is the most famous painting in the world. Mona Lisa is still wrapped in thick glass windows as it was 10 years ago. The front of the work is still crowded with tourists' heads, and the flash keeps going up and down, so it is difficult to get into the gap and smile face to face with Mona Lisa. The mysterious smile expression in the painting has become a topic of constant discussion in later generations. Mona Lisa is the wife of Deljo Okonda, a nobleman, so this painting is also called "Madame Deljo Okonda". Finally, you can visit the statue of Venus on Milo Island on the 1 floor of Xuli Pavilion, which is a perfect model of Greek women and was discovered on Milo Island in 1820. The statue is a little more than 2 meters high and its arm has been broken. However, the slightly inclined upper body makes the statue more elegant, curved and dynamic.
It is best to visit the Louvre from below the entrance of the glass pyramid, because the exhibition halls such as Denon, Richelieua and Sully are scattered radially from here, and all the works are exhibited on the third floor, among which 1400 to 1900 are quite complete European works of art, most of which are works by French painters.
