How are diamonds graded?
Diamonds are generally graded according to degrees. The clarity grade is divided into five major grades and ten minor grades. From high to low are LC, WS 1- 2, VS 1-2, S 1 1-2. P 1-3, as follows:

LC: flawless, even the diamond grading master can't observe the internal defects of the diamond under the 10 times jewelry magnifying glass, which belongs to the top diamond clarity.

WS: Very small defect level. Although experienced masters can find tiny impurities in diamonds under the magnifying glass of 10 times, it is very difficult.

VS: minor defect level. The impurities in this diamond are also very small. Different from WS, an experienced grader can easily find impurities with a jewelry magnifying glass of 10 times, with less difficulty.

Sl: Small flaw level. It is very easy to find the impurities inside the diamond with a magnifying glass of 10 times.

P: Experienced grading experts can see the impurities in diamonds with naked eyes. According to the size and quantity of impurities and the degree of influence on diamond quality, they can be divided into P1.p2.p3..

Extended data:

1. The evaluation of diamond clarity includes identifying the number, size, visibility, type and location of the above features, and their influence on the overall appearance of the diamond. Although there is no perfect natural diamond in the world, the higher the clarity, the higher the value.

2.GIA diamond clarity standards are divided into six categories, 1 1 grade.

Flawless grade (FL): Under the magnifying glass of 10, the diamond has no inclusions or surface features.

Internal immaculate grade (IF): Under the magnifying glass of 10, there is no inclusion in the diamond.

Very slight inclusions (VVS 1 and VVS2): Under the magnifying glass of 10 times, there are very tiny inclusions in the diamond, which is difficult for even professional appraisers to see.

Micro-inclusions (VS 1 and VS2): Under the magnifying glass of 10 times, there are micro-inclusions in the diamond.

Micro-inclusions (SI 1 and SI2): Under the magnifying glass of 10 times, the diamond has visible inclusions.

Inclusions (P 1, P2 and P3): The defects of the diamond can be clearly seen under the magnifying glass of 10, which may affect the transparency and luster of the diamond.
