Zhu Huian, who graduated from Li Hui University of Science and Technology five years ago, has rich experience in winning prizes at a young age. Her award-winning design last year has even been launched in the retail market and has been welcomed by customers.
Zhu Huian said that she fell in love with jewelry design since she was a child, and she was glad that she could combine work and entertainment. She said that in order to meet the market demand, more jewelry with strong commercial flavor is designed every day, but through the design competition, you can make a bold attempt to diversify.
The "Round and Dot" pendant she designed this year uses many materials, such as red plastic, black "Annix" stone, 18K rose gold, 18K white gold, 18K black gold, brown broken diamonds, white broken diamonds, etc., with exaggerated styles, bright colors and geometric patterns as the theme, and reproduces the customs of the 1960s.
Zhu Huian also believes that inspiration comes from life. If you can study abroad and absorb foreign culture, it will help to broaden your creative thinking. Sponsored by the Hong Kong-Japan Economic Commission, the three grand prize winners will go to Japan for further study in late March to attend a jewelry design course organized by hikomizuno Jewelry Institute.
