In the first year of Zhenguan (Zhenguan 13), Tang Priest set out from Chang 'an to learn Buddhist scriptures. Five hundred years ago, the Monkey King made a scene in the Heavenly Palace, which caused the flames of the Eight Diagrams Furnace to fall into the world to form a flaming mountain, which became the natural dividing line between Buddhism and Taoism in the Western Niu and Western Zhou Dynasties.

The first struggle between Buddhism and Taoism took place 1000 years ago, and the focus of the struggle was the sacrificial country that believed in both Buddhism and Taoism. Grandfather Tai set up 800 Li Thorn Ridge in the west of the sacrificial country to stop the spread of Buddhism to the east, and the temples on Thorn Ridge were gradually submerged under thorns.

In order to consolidate his power, the old gentleman gave up the Thorn Ridge and set a new boundary in the east of the sacrificial country, that is, the 800-mile Flame Mountain. The purpose is to prevent people from Xiliang from going to Saiguo to worship Buddha. In this way, it went through another 500 years, until the arrival of the Buddhist team, and the boundary between Buddhism and Taoism was broken again.

It took the Tang Priest seven years to travel from Xiniuhe to Huo Yan, and only seven years to travel from Huo Yan to Lingshan. Huoyan Mountain is almost in the middle of Xiniu Hezhou, but the population on Laojun site is relatively sparse.

Residents living near the Flame Mountain are honored as Princess Iron Fan because they want her. The nearest country to Princess Tiefan's residence is Xiliang Daughter Country. She may be a princess in Xiliang, but later she became a Taoist under the influence of the old gentleman. The Tathagata made a revenge plan and let the green-haired lion of Manjusri Bodhisattva descend to the infinite country. The green lion became a Taoist priest and a national teacher of the king, and soon gained the trust of the king. In Baolin Temple, the green lion spirit pushed the king into the well, and the king died for three years. Fortunately, the dragon king in the well gave him a pearl and put it in his mouth to keep the body from rotting.

The Tang Priest and his disciples went to the infinite country, and the Monkey King saved the king with the resurrection pill of the old gentleman. The old man didn't want to give it to the Monkey King, so he might as well give it to him as a personal favor instead of letting him steal it. The old man has no confidence in a thief like the Monkey King. It seems that the Monkey King stole the old man's "Nine Turn Then" when he made a scene in Heaven, and the old man didn't mean to let him steal it.

Finally, the Monkey King fought fiercely with the green lion spirit posing as the king, and Manjusri Bodhisattva appeared in time to take the monster away.

The king didn't know that this "Taoist" was Manjusri's mount, and thought that Taoist was too bad. Because the green lion essence was castrated, it did not affect the king's harem, but the behavior of this "Taoist" left a very bad influence on the king, and Wuji changed to respect Buddhism because of its virtue of saving lives and rebirth.

Tathagata successfully entered the territory of Laojun, but his tactics were not aboveboard, blaming Taoism. What happened in the Promise Kingdom was finally known to the old gentleman because the Monkey King borrowed a rejuvenation pill from him.

Later, after passing through Chechi, the Tang Priest and his disciples met three "grass roots" monsters, namely Tiger force big fairy, Luli big beetle and Yang Lidaxian. They worship the "Sanqing" memorial tablet and fantasize about entering heaven. However, the old gentleman disdains them.

Che Chiguo's three monsters solved the drought in this country for twenty years through magic, so Taoist priests are deeply respected by the king and people in this country. And incompetent monks can only work for Taoist priests, and life is worse than death.

Many monks couldn't stand the abuse of Taoist priests and chose to commit suicide. The rest of the monks drag out an ignoble existence with the help of Tathagata. The Monkey King came forward to save the Buddhist scripture team and threw the "Sanqing" statue into the toilet.

The Monkey King let the king know the skills of Buddhism by fighting with three monsters, who died heroically in the battle with the Monkey King.

The status of monks in Chechi country has been improved, but influenced by the Three Monsters before his death, the king did not abandon the Tao and follow the Buddha, because Chechi country is a big country and will not easily change its national policy. The Monkey King did not force the king to change his faith, but the monk's position was guaranteed and he would not be bullied by Taoist priests again.

What the study group did on Laojun's site caused Laojun's dissatisfaction. The old gentleman is ready to retaliate against Tathagata, secretly arranging his own mount, Green Bull, to lower the realm.

Qing Niu Jing came to Xiliang's daughter country to learn from the scriptures in Jindou Cave and other teams in Jindou Mountain. The name of this cave sounds like asking for money. Tang Priest, Pig Bajie and Friar Sand have all been taken away by Qingniu Jing.

In the battle with Qingniujing, Monkey King, Tota King and his son, and the fairy who came to help, all their weapons were taken away by Jingang Zhuo of Qingniujing. In desperation, the Monkey King found the Tathagata, who made arrangements after listening to the Monkey King's report. The original text is as follows:

The Tathagata knew that this day would come sooner or later, and he was ready. The Tathagata gave the task to the two arhats, Dragon and Tiger, and asked them to pretend to fight with the young cattle, which was actually a gift. What was taken out of the treasure house was not weapons, but money. Eighteen golden mountains turned into vermilion and were carried by eighteen arhats.

As expected, cinnabar was taken away by a bull named King Kong Zhuo, and the Monkey King was told to go to Grand Priest to find the old man. See the Monkey King, the old gentleman is different from the previous indifference. This time he was very happy. The old gentleman was probably thinking, "You finally came to see me. I have been waiting for this day for a long time. "

After listening to the Monkey King's story, the old man pretended to be frightened to disgrace. It turned out that his mount stole his personal treasure-Jin Gangzhuo. It has been seven days since he was born, that is, seven years on earth. Why does Lao Jun's family always lose things? The Monkey King stole Jiuzhuan elixir, and Liubao was stolen by Qingniu and two boys who set fire to it.

Laojun is obviously lying. Seven years ago, Qingniu Jing stole his diamond cutter, and just two years ago, because Jinjiao and Yinjiao Wang stole the five treasures, the old man personally came down to earth to retrieve the treasures. Doesn't he know that the diamond cutter has long been stolen? Two years ago, the old gentleman went to the mortal world. He didn't know that the mount was gone?

How clever the Monkey King is. After listening to the old man's serious lies, he just smiled awkwardly and politely. Laojun appeased Qingniu Jing and left, while others got their weapons back in the Golden Cave. The original text is as follows:

Cinnabar is not a weapon. Where did it go? Eighteen arhats returned to Lingshan empty-handed for a job. The original text said: the old man fell into the sky and laughed and led the green cow around. The old man went over and carried the green cow back. It should be that the old gentleman received eighteen gold cinnabar from the Tathagata. From then on, he stopped the Tathagata's action in Mr. Niu Hezhou in Xi.

In this incident of young cattle essence, Lao Jun also warned those Taoist immortals who were eager to move. Laojun is still the ancestor of thousands of immortals, and a small ox of Laojun makes them helpless. These immortals need to think about it if they want to go to Tathagata.

Tathagata took eighteen golden mountains as ransom and reached an understanding with the old gentleman. Later, the Tathagata organized Buddhist forces to subdue Niu Wangmo, put out the fire on the flaming mountain forever, and opened up a new road for the eastward spread of Buddhism. Hong Haier changed from a monster to a fairy, and Niu Wangmo changed from a fairy to a prisoner. The treatment gap between "father and son" is too big.

For Tathagata, the only obstacle to his grand plan is that several rattan monsters, such as Thorn Ridge and Xingxian, are still guarding Thorn Ridge. These monsters are loyal to the old gentleman. They strongly advised Tang Priest to return to the East, saying that Tang Priest's own local religion was unnecessary and he went to the West to seek Buddha.

These monsters in Thorn Ridge are all fans of Lao Jun, and they were all destroyed by the Buddhist team in the end. In fact, they were abandoned by Lao Jun. In this way, Thorn Ridge was also opened.

The incident of the young ox sperm of Taishang Laojun had a great influence on Tathagata, which not only lost a lot of money, but also shocked Tathagata's believers. The Tathagata needs to fight back, otherwise the younger brothers have no confidence.

Tathagata and Maitreya planned the "Xiaolei Temple" incident. Maitreya arranged for the boy with yellow eyebrows to come to the world with dry handbags, and took away a group of immortals in the same way, even with weapons. These immortals were all weak when they were taken away, and Gankunbao was even more powerful than Jin Gangzhuo.

The "twenty-eight stars" in the sky, the two generals of Tortoise and Snake and the five dragons (Taoist immortals) under the demon Buddha, Prince Zhang and the four gods (Buddhist immortals) under the Buddha King and Bodhisattva were all put into the bag.

Huang Mei-guai insulted Heaven, Buddha and Immortal. Finally, Maitreya, a Buddha from the East, stepped forward and conquered the Huangmei monster, which turned out to be one of his Huangmei boys. One boy can get rid of all the big immortals, which shows the power of Buddhism.

Through this action, the Tathagata is used to comfort spectators and believers, telling them that Buddhism is very powerful, asking them to have confidence in Tathagata and warning those who want to betray Buddhism.

Later, the task of Buddhist scripture team was to remove the remaining monsters belonging to Taoism, such as the leopard essence and the yellow lion essence of Yin Wu Mountain, which were all killed by the Monkey King and others. Lao Jun's influence in cattle was basically obliterated by Buddhist scriptures team. Only Princess Tiefan was preserved and finally became immortal, indicating that her relationship with the old gentleman was unusual.

Through the above analysis, we can find that the old aristocratic forces represented by the old gentleman are declining. These outstanding disciples scattered abroad are loyal to their beliefs, but they have not received any attention from the leaders and let them die.

The goblins on Laojun's side are of high quality, educated, ideal and ambitious. The Three Monsters of Chechi made great contributions to the good weather in the local area and respectfully worshipped their leader "Sanqing". Xing Xian and friends from Thorn Ridge formed "Mu Xian 'an Poetry Society", which is a group of cultural experts. They are all dead.

Known as "Nanshan Hermit", Yin Wu Mountain Leopard Spirit is determined to be a hermit with high morals and integrity. In fact, leopard essence is hypocritical. It is estimated that the old gentleman will come to see him day and night. Many years later, he waited for the Tang Priest of the East.

A sober little demon under the leopard spirit told him that the Tang priest could not eat it, and there were many people who wanted to eat the Tang priest's meat. Tang priest can walk here from the east, which means someone is protecting him. The leopard essence did not listen to his advice and insisted on eating Tang monk meat, because eating Tang monk meat was the only chance for the leopard to become immortal. Leopard essence was finally killed by the Monkey King.

It's really a sad thing that the whole family was killed just because they stole the weapons of the three the Monkey King brothers. Huang Shijing is the only monster who doesn't eat people but is eaten by people. His caretakers are also very disciplined. The original text says:

They made real deals with vendors with silver, and they didn't hurt human beings or cheat them.

Let's take a look at the Monkey King, who represents justice in the Buddhist scriptures. When he bought a cake near the Flame Mountain, he described:

The Monkey King fooled the vendor by turning a hair into a copper coin. Unfortunately, vendors don't know the goods. This is the nine Niu Yi hairs that will be used as Buddha statues in the future, which has great appreciation space and great collection value.

Look at the Tathagata disciple again. The golden-winged Dapeng carving will eat up all the people in a country. The quality of Tathagata disciples is worrying, which may be due to the rapid expansion. Anyone with money and ability can join, and the hero doesn't ask the source.

In Buddhism, many people here are born with evil spirits, such as: Golden Winged Dapeng Carving, Bodhisattva, Mother Peacock, King Daming, Cattle, Scorpion Essence, Sable Essence, Golden-nosed White-haired Mouse Essence, including the Monkey King, Pig Bajie and Friar Sand. How many of them eat fast and recite Buddha? Tathagata didn't expect them to recite scriptures every day and publicize Buddhism to the masses, but let them do their best.

Tathagata gave these grassroots a rising channel, so the Buddhist power of Tathagata grew rapidly.

Tathagata is good at using others, and it is easy to cause others' dissatisfaction. Niu Wangmo betrayed Tathagata, the golden-winged Dapeng carving left Lingshan to go to the lion camel country to prove its talent, the scorpion essence pierced Tathagata's finger, and the mouse essence stole the fragrant candle, which indicated that Tathagata needed to further improve its management level.

But there is no problem that Tathagata cannot solve. Tathagata turns difficulties into opportunities through various methods under his operation. Tathagata is a real master and the real protagonist in The Journey to the West.
