Jasper is a translucent hetian jade, the color is spinach green. Its color and structure are uneven, and sometimes it contains bands and color groups formed by epidote and magnetite. Chemical composition is silicate of calcium, magnesium and iron. The color of jasper is mainly green-cyan, usually green, gray-green, yellow-green, dark green and dark green. The color is soft and even. Jasper often contains black punctate minerals, and its luster is not soft after polishing, with a slight waxy feeling. The color is gray-green, and fine needle-like white spots can be seen by careful observation. The hardness is slightly lower than that of Hetian in the narrow sense, that is, Hetian in Xinjiang.
