Wetland Park is located on the southwest slope of Changbai Mountain, near the north bank of Yalu River and east of Laoling of Changbai Mountain. Peat wetlands are widely distributed inside and outside wetland parks, with complete structure and large thickness, with the maximum thickness exceeding 10m. There are even living mosses in some plots, which are rare in the eastern mountainous areas of Jilin Province, especially in the alpine areas so close to human settlements. The park has a variety of habitats, rich biological resources, and ecosystems such as forests, wetlands and waters, which makes it rich in rare wildlife resources. According to the survey, there are 229 species of vertebrates in the wetland park, belonging to 5 classes, 25 orders and 55 families. Among them, there are 6 families and 27 species of fish; 9 species of amphibians and reptiles in 4 families; 35 families 169 species of birds; Mammals (Mammals) 10 family, 24 species. Among them, there are 2 species of national first-class key protected animals, namely golden eagle and white-tailed sea eagle, and 3 1 species of national second-class key protected animals, among which there are 2 species of animals, including green ferrets and otters, and birds, such as crested bee eagle, black kite, goshawk, sparrow hawk, common _, hairy foot _, big _, gray-faced eagle and white-tailed pheasant. There are many kinds of plants and complex vegetation types in wetland parks. There are not only large and diverse wetland types here, but also poplar-birch forest, broad-leaved mixed forest, Mongolian oak forest and some artificial forests. According to the investigation and statistics, there are vascular plants 15 1 species in the wetland park, including ferns 12 species, belonging to 9 families and gymnosperms. Among them, the national first-class protected wild plants (Taxus cuspidata) 1 species, and the national second-class protected wild plants are 5 species, namely Korean pine, Fraxinus mandshurica, phellodendron amurense, Tilia amurensis and Pennisetum.

Since the construction of wetland park, Baishan Municipal People's Government has taken a series of effective measures to strengthen the construction, protection and management of wetland park, and is actively establishing management institutions, establishing and perfecting rules and regulations, and establishing a guarantee mechanism for protection, management and rational utilization; The government took the lead in coordinating the active participation of agriculture, water conservancy, finance and other departments, and implemented a series of vegetation restoration measures such as clearing and recycling forest land, returning farmland to moisture, intercropping forest and grain, and returning farmland to special crops, and achieved certain results. At present, the construction of wetland restoration and ornamental botanical garden in the mission exhibition area and rational utilization area of the park is in the construction stage.
