Lanzhou Xinya Middle School, founded in 1993, was founded by Liu Hongxun, the former principal of Lanzhou No.1 Middle School, a special chemistry teacher and a model worker in the national education system. Since its establishment 29 years ago, it has formed a school-running model integrating primary school, junior high school, senior high school and Australia-New Zealand study abroad training center. Lanzhou Xinya Middle School is a model school in Lanzhou, a school for migrant children in Gansu Province, and an experimental school of the Provincial Institute of Education. It is also the earliest and largest full-time private middle school in Gansu Province after the reform and opening up.

Lanzhou Xinya Middle School, founded in 1993, is the earliest private school in Gansu Province since the reform and opening up. At the beginning of the school, the school rented classrooms from the primary school affiliated to Lanzhou Chengguan District Teacher Training School and Yuzhong Street Primary School.

From 65438-0999, the school signed the investment promotion project through the "Lanzhou Fair", and purchased 40 mu of land in Yantan Industrial City, Lanzhou, and began to build its own campus.

In August 2000, Xinya Primary School was approved to be established.

200 1 was appraised as the only standardized middle school among private middle schools in Lanzhou by experts organized by the Municipal Education Bureau.

In March 2003, the school was named "Experimental School" by the Provincial Institute of Education. At the same time, Xinya Middle School applied to Lanzhou Education Bureau and declared to enter the ranks of municipal demonstration schools.
