How to classify the color grades of diamonds?
Diamond color is one of the 4C standards of diamonds, and experts have graded the diamond color. In the case of similar weight, cut and clarity, the higher the color grade of the diamond, the higher the price.

I. Classification of diamond colors

The most common color of diamonds is colorless and transparent, but after careful observation, some diamonds are actually yellowish, so the Gemological Institute of the United States, namely GIA, classifies the colors of diamonds according to the number of yellow elements contained in diamonds, from high to low as D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, M and N.

D-grade: The color of D-grade diamonds is completely colorless, which is the highest among the diamond grades. But diamonds of this grade are very scarce, so the price is also very high.

Class e: colorless class. Consumers can't tell the difference with the naked eye. Only professional gemologists can distinguish the cool elements contained in diamonds with the help of special machines, so they are very rare.

Class F: All belong to colorless class. Jewelry appraisers can hardly see the yellow element, so it is also a high-quality diamond.

G-H grade: close to colorless grade. Only by comparing with high-quality diamonds can we see the difference, so the quality of diamonds is still very high.

Grade I-J: a small amount of yellow elements can be seen by naked eyes.

K-N grade: The yellow element of diamonds can be observed by naked eyes and has no investment value. Purchase is not recommended.

Second, how to choose the color of diamonds

Diamond is a kind of natural diamond, which is formed by geological movement. The higher the color grade of the diamond, the higher the price of the diamond. If you want to buy a product with high preservation effect, you can choose D-F colorless grade, which is relatively rare but of high value. If you only wear it at ordinary times, then choose G-H with high cost performance. Therefore, consumers can make reasonable choices according to their own economic conditions.

Besides being transparent and colorless, diamonds also exist in colored diamonds, such as pink diamond and blue diamonds. GIA's classification of diamond fineness is not applicable to colored diamond, but because colored diamond is very rare, it can only be found in auction houses. Therefore, the price of colored diamonds is very high.
