Two universities are actually two schools. This university was originally called Beijing Institute of Geology in Beijing, but moved out of Beijing during the Cultural Revolution and later settled in Wuhan, renamed Wuhan Institute of Geology. But there is still a small piece of land in Beijing, so I left a school in Beijing, mainly because the teachers are mostly Beijingers (registered permanent residence), so I returned to Beijing soon after retirement.
As for the future development, Beijing is indeed much better than Wuhan now, but do you think a city with insufficient water resources will have a future?
