Introduction to customs clearance at Peruvian ports:

I. Import tariffs

At present, there are 43 19 commodities in Peru, and the tax rate is 15%, accounting for about 82% of all tax items; There are 950 commodities with a tax rate of 25%, accounting for 18% of the total tax items. Commodities with the tax rate of 15% mainly include: all kinds of automobiles and spare parts, computers, generator sets, multiphase motors, machine parts, switchboards, cables, enameled wires, sockets, switches, hardware, glass, paper, sandpaper, pigments, buttons, zippers, breeding animals, etc. Commodities with a tax rate of 25% mainly include: household appliances, hardware products, stoves, lawn mowers, bicycles, toys, musical instruments, pencils, glasses, cosmetics, soap, shoe polish, ready-made clothes, shoes, carpets, true and false jewelry, gold and silver products, paper products and leather products.

Two. Import document

1. Commercial Invoice Customs requires that the invoice be filled in Spanish, and the following contents must be filled in:

(1) billing place and date;

(2) Invoice number;

(3) The name and address of the exporter;

(4) The name and address of the importer;

(5) Order number and billing date;

(6) Letter of credit number and date of issuance;

(7) marks, numbers, quantities and types of packages;

(8) Weight: gross weight, net weight and total gross weight of each package;

(9) Indicate the detailed names of materials used for each commodity;

(10) The value and total value of various commodities can be expressed in USD or the agreed currency;

(1 1) rebate: if there is rebate, the method must be stated;

(12) country of origin;

(13) The exporter shall sign the following legally binding price statement at the end of the invoice: It is hereby confirmed that the price obtained in this invoice is the normal customs price.

2. Ocean Bill of Lading This bill of lading must be issued in Spanish and must indicate the address of the notified person. Weight or specification and sea freight must be indicated.

Transhipment Notice At present, almost all goods exported from China to Peru have to be transshipped from Hongkong, and our export company entrusts foreign shipping companies to charter ships. Full bill of lading issued by foreign shipping companies to Peru, with only the name of the first-class ship from China Port to Hongkong written on it. Therefore, after the goods arrive at the port of Peru, the name of the ship on the whole bill of lading will be different from that of the second-class ship from Hong Kong to Peru. It stands to reason that the transshipment company in Hong Kong should immediately send the second-class shipping notice to the Peruvian importer after completing the transshipment of our export commodities, including the name of the first-class ship and the date of arrival in Hong Kong; Second-class name, transshipment date in Hong Kong and approximate date of arrival at Peruvian port. The importer exchanges the whole bill of lading and transshipment notice with the second-class shipping company for the second-class shipping bill.

Three. import control

1. Packaging and label packaging must be marked with templates; Gross weight, in kilograms, must be indicated (this is especially important for the package to arrive in callao, because different fees need to be paid according to the weight). The number of liters must be marked on the box containing wine.

2. Handling of deferred goods The regulations of Peruvian customs on handling unclaimed goods are constantly changing. The actual treatment is not uniform. Therefore, we should ask the customs officers for specific information. Generally speaking, the following provisions apply: 10 days for the goods not cleared by sea, the warehousing tax calculated by tonnage and cubic meters must be paid every day. Goods that fail to apply for customs clearance within 20 days will be fined 2% per month. Maritime goods that have not gone through customs clearance within 3 months and air goods that have not gone through customs clearance within 2 months (from unloading) can be auctioned. Unclaimed goods can only be returned within 60 days after the arrival of the transported goods.

Four. Free trade area

Tuchner Free Trade Zone, located in the south of Peru, mainly deals in household and personal electrical appliances, textiles and footwear, featuring spot trading, small batch and convenient transportation. According to relevant business people, the daily transaction volume in Tuchner can reach $6,543,800+0,000. In addition to local sales, most of these goods are resold to other provinces in Peru and countries such as Bolivia, Argentina and even Brazil. In order to develop Tokyo, Peru has implemented some special policies in Iquitos, an important town in the hinterland of Amazon. Implement flexible practices, such as substantially reducing or exempting imports.
