EK is a German manufacturer, and its water-cooled radiator is positioned at the high end, which has a high reputation in the hearts of DIY hardware players around the world.
German EK brand is a famous manufacturer of water cooling heads, which originated from 1999. Their water cooling heads are different from our common products. The contact surface with the processor is made of all copper, and the outside is made of acrylic transparent material. You can clearly see the internal structure of the water cooling head and the water cooling flow in the working state, which is unique.
Brand story:
1999, Edward Koenig bought his first computer. Soon, he realized that air cooling was not enough to cool his highly overclocked computer. So he tried to find a suitable substitute. He discovered water-cooling technology and hoped to make his own water block soon. He spent days, nights and weekends sketching water blocks.
As early as 2003, Edward's dream finally came true. He finally designed and manufactured the first prototype, called EK- 1, EK-2 and EK-3. Edward's friend David joined the team and created their first CPU chip simulator. The simulator helps two people find the best design with their processing tools.
In the winter of 2003, the output of EK-7 prototype was very small. EK-7 has never seen mass production.
By the end of 2003, EK-6 derived from EK-4 became Edward's first mass-produced CPU water cooling head.
