The difference between chalcedony and garnet is that

1, hardness and specific gravity are different. The hardness and specific gravity of chalcedony are less than garnet, and holding garnet is more oppressive.

2. Different permeability. Although chalcedony and garnet are relatively transparent, garnet looks clearer and has a sense of ice crystals. Chalcedony, on the other hand, is a chaotic jelly.

3. The reflection gloss is different. The reflected light of chalcedony is that kind of introverted luster, even if it is very bright, it is that kind of halo, not dazzling light, while the reflected light of garnet is that kind of dazzling light.

Garnet can whiten skin and make skin rosy, but carnelian has no obvious effect. So garnet is generally more expensive than chalcedony.
