Jewelry industry is one of the pillar industries supported and developed by Huadu District Committee and Government. Huadu (International) Gold and Silver Jewelry City, located in Xinhua Industrial Zone, is a key development project in Huadu District, with a developed land area of 2,300 mu. By the end of 2005, more than 80 jewelry enterprises from the United States, France, Italy, Turkey, Poland, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan had settled in the jewelry city, including well-known brand enterprises such as "Stone Story", Atasai Jewelry, Eurostar, Magnetic Jewelry, Oriental Jewelry, Yimei Jewelry and Shuoda Diamond.

In March 2006, the Gold, Silver and Jewelry Chamber of Commerce of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce awarded Huadu District the title of "Jewelry Capital of China", marking that Huadu (International) Gold, Silver and Jewelry City has become an influential jewelry production and processing base in South China.
