Hermes is a world-famous French handicraft brand, famous for handmade leather goods and handbags. It was first founded by Thierry Hermes in 1837.
In order to make harness workshops, in the early 20th century, the focus shifted to the production of leather goods and handbags, and gradually increased the product lines of scarves, perfumes, fashion, jewelry, watches and so on. Classic handbag styles include kelly Bag Birkin Bag and so on.
Brand history: Thierry Hermes (1801-1878) was born in Krefeld, Germany, and later moved to the French town of Odemeyer, where he began to learn leather and harness making techniques. 1837, Thierry opened his first workshop in Paris, devoted to making harness for European aristocrats. The harness made by Hermes Workshop won the first prize of Paris World Expo in 1855 and 1867 respectively.
After Thierry's death, his son Charles-Emile inherited the workshop, and the shop moved to No.24 St. Honnore Street in the Paris suburb on 1880, becoming the global flagship store of Hermes. Charles Emile designed the first saddle with the help of his sons Adolf and Emile Morris. Lead Hermes into the retail industry and gradually expand its business to Europe, North Africa, Russia, Asia, America and other places.
