Precautions for diamonds:
1. Diamonds are afraid of heat: Although diamonds crystallize at high temperature and high pressure, the main component is carbon. But when heated to 800℃ in air and 720℃ in oxygen, it will burn and form carbon dioxide gas.
2. Diamonds are afraid of ultraviolet rays: If diamonds are placed under strong ultraviolet rays filtered by the ozone layer, visible pits will appear on the diamond surface after a few seconds. So don't use a magnifying glass in the sun. If you do this, the diamond will sublimate and disappear.
3. Diamonds are afraid of radiation: the color of diamonds will change after radiation.
4. Diamonds are afraid of oil: Diamonds are highly lipophilic, and it is easy to absorb oil stains and stains on the surface, thus weakening the luster of diamonds themselves.
5. Diamonds are afraid of impact: Although the hardness of diamonds is well known, the harder the material, the more brittle it is. Although diamonds can cut anything, they are not afraid of grinding, but they are easily broken after impact.
