The world pattern in the end of the world
Liu Bang adopted Han Xin's suggestion and soon settled on Sanqin. The following year, he led a great army to Linjinguan (Pu Banjin) in the east. Wei surrendered without fighting, and then captured Sima Qian, the king of Yin, and Shenyang, the king of Yu. With the rapid advancement of the road, the prestige of the Han army is growing, and Liu Bang thinks it is time to kill Xiang Yu.
By this time, Zhao and Qi had changed hands one after another. If we can pull them together to deal with Xiang Yu, Liu Bang's chances of winning are even greater. Just then, Dong Gong, an old man from Xincheng, stopped him on the road in time, demanding that Liu Bang destroy the traitors for the country and avenge the righteous emperor. For this reason, Liu Bang finally became famous, so he rallied and got many governors' responses.
In 205 BC, Liu Bang led the army of 56 governors to kill Peng Cheng.
On the other hand, Qi was in turmoil, and Xiang Yu went to Qi to pacify the unrest. However, the burning, killing and looting of the Chu army in Qi angered the local people. Under the guidance of Tian Heng, he stayed in Chengyang and refused to surrender. Xiang Yu could not attack for a long time, and the main force of the Chu army was deeply involved.
Peng cheng, Han army stationed
First, the southern line
Soon after Liu Bang decided on Sanqin, he sent generals Xue Ou and Wang to suck out Wuguan and meet the tomb in Nanyang. However, he went to Peixian to meet Liu Taigong and Lv Hou.
When Xiang Yu heard the news, he immediately sent his troops to intercept, and Xue Ou was forced to stop.
Second, the northern line.
Cao Can followed Liu Bang out of Linjin Pass, captured Xiuwu in Hanoi County, crossed the Yellow River to the east via Weijin (Baimajin), and met with tenacious counterattacks from Chu troops such as Long Qie and Xiangta in Dingtao.
Cao Can and Guan Ying jointly defeated the Chu army, captured the town of Dingtao, and then continued eastward, successively occupying Dangxian, Xiaoxian and Pengcheng, clearing the way for Liu Bang's main force.
Third, the center line.
Liu Bang led an army of vassals all the way to the east, passing through Qiu Yong and Suiyang, and headed for Peng Cheng, the stronghold of Xiang Yu. In addition to various C's, Xia Houying, Sean, Chen Ping, Jin Hao and others were also enlisted.
At the same time, Fan Kuai led the troops to the north, defeated Chu generals Wu Wang and Cheng who were stationed in Waihuang stronghold, then went north to wash and cook dates, and then bypassed Juye Ze, and advanced to the northeast, attacking several cities in the Sishui River Basin: Xianqiu, Lucheng, Zouxian and Xuexian.
Fourth, foreign aid to Peng Yue.
Liu Bang passed through Huangshi, and Peng Yue joined him with his thirty thousand troops. At that time, Liu Bang was powerful, and the strongholds east of Cheng Peng were pulled out one after another. Therefore, instead of inviting Peng Yue to Cheng Peng, he asked him to pacify other remaining strongholds of Chu Army in Liangdi.
Xiang Yu was in Chengyang at that time, and Liu Bang's army easily broke through all kinds of defense lines of Chu State, and never succeeded in occupying Pengcheng. Perhaps happiness came too suddenly, and the vassal Coalition forces were immersed in joy, busy grabbing beautiful jade, and went on strike every night, completely forgetting that Xiang Yu was still alive and the main force was not far away.
Battle of Pengcheng
Xiang Yu flew into a rage when he learned that Cheng Peng had fallen. He handed over the task of attacking Chengyang to his subordinate generals, and personally led 30,000 elite cavalry south, from Shandong to Fan Kuai's northern defense.
Then, Xiang Yu's army marched non-stop and arrived in Xiaoxian County, west of Pengcheng, in the morning. Most of the Han army died under the iron hoof of Xiang Yu's army before waking up.
Xiang Yu cleared up the defenders of Xiaoxian County like lightning, immediately headed east and arrived in Pengcheng at noon. Chu army came too fast, and the generals of the allied forces were killed off guard. The unguided Han army was in chaos and fled to Surabaya and Shui Gu in the south of the city in tears. The Chu army caught up with the sword, and the blood of 65438+ Wan Hanjun dyed Surabaya red.
The rest of the Han army continued south. There are rough waves in front of them. They want to turn around. Behind them, however, is a group of ChuJun killed their eyes flashing. In this way, the soldiers of the Han army trampled on each other and fell into the water one after another, and the water could not flow out.
Liu bang was surrounded by the Chu army. At this critical juncture, a northwest wind blew head-on, making the formation of the Chu army in a mess. Liu Bang escaped with dozens of cavalry, fled to Xiayi, where his younger brother Zhou was stationed, and then returned to Xingyang.
What about Han Xin?
In the whole battle of Pengcheng, we mentioned Fan Kuai, Cao Can, Guan Ying and other military commanders, and even Peng Yue, the only general without Han Xin. Where did he go?
First, there is no order.
Judging from Han Xin's combat experience, whether crossing the Yellow River skillfully to defeat Wei and destroy Zhao's last position, or defeating Longyou in the battle of Weishui, rivers are always his magic weapon to win. If Han Xin had the command, how could Chujun be killed in Surabaya and Suishui? At least there's one last fight. Therefore, it is possible that Han Xin is not in Pengcheng, but in the peripheral station, or even if he is present, he does not have any military command.
Judging from the deployment of Liu Bang's troops in this campaign, he has been using Fan Kuai and other confidants. Liu bang thought that the Han army was strong and the victory was in hand. In that case, he has no reason to hand over the general's work to Han Xin in vain.
In addition, we can also get a glimpse of Peng Yue's release from Liu Bang's arrangement. At this point, Peng Yue and Han Xin are still outsiders in Liu Bang's mind.
Second, Sean strongly recommends it.
In Pengcheng World War I, Xiang Yu defeated Liu Bang with 30,000 troops and doubted life. After Liu Bang fled to Xiayi, he was in shock and almost desperate. He shouted excitedly: "whoever can break Chu, I will give him Kanto equally!" " Only then did Liu Bang clearly realize that Xiang Yu could not be defeated by his brothers alone.
At this time, Sean recommended three people to Liu Bang, Peng Yue, Qing Bu and Han Xin. He suggested that Liu Bangpa send someone to woo Peng Yue, turn against Qing Bu and reuse Han Xin. He thinks that Liu Bang has many generals, but only Han Xin can be independent. Sean's words reminded Liu Bang, so Han Xin disappeared for a period of time and suddenly appeared in the battle between Beijing and Suo.
Third, stop ChuJun.
After the Xiayi meeting, Liu Bang continued to flee to the west, but still arranged some troops to contain the Chu army in Xiayi, Dangxian and Qiu Yong. In this way, Liu Bangcai had time, packed up beaten army all the way, and fled to Xingyang. Xiao He took the old and weak foot soldiers from Guanzhong.
At this time, Han Xin finally appeared, and he also picked up some foot soldiers who were running around and joined hands with Liu Bang. Then, the situation immediately reversed, and the Han army defeated the Chu army between Beijing and Suo, and the battle of Pengcheng finally came to an end.
label
In the battle of Pengcheng, Han Xin was probably nearby. But before the Xiayi Conference, he was just a polished general, and Liu Bang did not grant him military command. Therefore, people can't find him in this movement.
