Shenjiayuan is located in the north of Nanqiao Cultural Square, in the compound of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress. It was built in the1920s. It is the only garden in Fengxian County and a scenic spot in Fengxian District of Shanghai. It has a long history, small building scale and exquisite structure, and a large number of flowers are planted in the park.

After liberation, Shenjiayuan became the seat of Fengxian County Committee and Fengxian People's Government. Although it has been repaired and rebuilt many times, it still basically maintains the original garden characteristics. There are many flowers and trees in the park, such as wintersweet, cedar, magnolia, laurel, citrus, plantain, peony, rose and peony, which become a green gem embedded in the middle of the whole county building complex, attracting passers-by to stop and watch from time to time.
