Professional introduction

This major aims at cultivating applied senior professionals with solid basic theoretical knowledge, engaged in jewelry design, jewelry production, jewelry appraisal and jewelry marketing, with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics, and meeting the needs of socialist modernization.

The knowledge and ability requirements that students of this major should master are: the theory and method of jewelry design; Basic skills in gem processing and jewelry making; Characteristics of gem materials and basic skills of gem identification; Understand jewelry production technology and production equipment; Jewelry business or jewelry production management ability; Basic theoretical knowledge of foreign languages, computer basics, humanities and social sciences and natural sciences.

After graduation, students can adapt to the work scope of jewelry design, processing and production, commercial trade, quality supervision and inspection, production management and scientific and technological development, and can also engage in teaching and scientific research of gems and materials technology in professional schools and scientific research departments.
