The name of Typhoon Senlake
According to 1 998+February's 3 1 Typhoon Committee resolution held by the World Meteorological Organization in Manila, Philippines, since 20001,international aviation and navigation have used a unified identification method for typhoons in the northwest Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea. Except the number remains unchanged (for example, the number of typhoonNo. 1 in 2004 is 040 1), the names of typhoons will all be changed and listed as 140. * * * is divided into five groups with 28 in each group, and 65,438 are from1of countries or regions in the northwest Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea respectively. Countries (or regions) can decide for themselves whether to use these typhoon names in typhoon reports within their jurisdiction.

In view of the change in the naming of typhoons in the Northwest Pacific and South China Sea by the Typhoon Committee of the World Meteorological Organization, since 1989 1, the typhoon number is the main news in central weather bureau, supplemented by the international naming of the Typhoon Committee.

The original name of 140 typhoon came from different countries and regions, including not only the names used in the past, but also nouns such as animals, plants, astrology, place names, mythical figures and jewelry. These are not sorted according to English A to Z, so they are very complicated and irregular. In order to be prudent, central weather bureau conducted a public opinion survey, and more than 74% of the people think that it is more appropriate to give priority to typhoon numbers in typhoon news reports, supplemented by international typhoon names. See table 2- 1 for the latest version of the comparison table of international naming and Chinese transliteration of typhoon names, and table 2-2 for the comparison table of international naming and original meaning of typhoon names.
