1876 drew a girl with a watering can. This painting was obviously painted by Renoir in claude monet's garden in Argenteuil. The little girl in the picture proudly holds a green watering can and smiles happily, as if she is taking care of all the blooming flowers in the garden alone. Few painters can show the softness and innocence of children like Renoir. Renoir never painted a "formal" portrait of a child in costume and stiff posture. He allowed his little models to laugh and play. The painter found a perfect blend between the sunny garden and the blonde.

Renoir was the first successful impressionist painter. He held an exhibition with his friends until 1879, and he gradually felt that Impressionism no longer applied to him. He traveled to Italy and had a relationship with Cezanne in Estaque in 1883. For a time, his works looked dull and even rigid. But in 1885, he found his own style, blending color and form into a flowing light mass.

Renoir's paintings praise women. He loves their beauty and nobility, their seriousness and humor, their gentleness and charm. He paints women indoors and outdoors, as well as women in public places and at home. These women are either coaxing children, reading books, doing needlework, doing housework, or admiring their beautiful faces in hats, headdresses and jewels naively. The women he painted were either alone or in groups, or dressed elegantly or simply. They are always so lovely, so generous and so gentle.
