Production. Vietnam produces the most jadeite with the best quality. More than 95% jadeite in China's jewelry market comes from Vietnam, so jadeite is also called Burmese jade. Eight countries in Southeast Asia, including Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, all produce jade, especially colored gems, among which "pigeon blood red" rubies.
