As a vassal of the Ming Dynasty, King Liang Zhuang was a relative of the country and was deeply loved by the emperor. According to historical records, King Liangzhuang died without a son, so people around him speculated that all the treasures of his family would be buried in his tomb after his death. This statement spread widely and soon attracted many grave robbers to visit Dahong Village. The tomb of King Liangzhuang has become very dangerous and may be stolen at any time.
In order to better protect the ancient tomb, the Hubei Provincial Archaeological Team decided to conduct a rescue excavation of the ancient tomb immediately. When the archaeologist came to the main tomb where Wang Mu parked his coffin in Liangzhuang, everyone was shocked and saw all the exquisite objects scattered in the thick soil. Archaeologists cleaned up more than 5,300 pieces of gold, jade and porcelain unearthed by Wangmu in Liangzhuang, nearly 700 pieces of cat's eyes and quartz cat's eyes of rubies, sapphires, emeralds, emeralds, and an olive-shaped colorless sapphire of about 200 carats embedded in the top of the gold-encrusted gem hat, which is the largest sapphire ever discovered!
Yang Mingxing, a professor at the Gemmology College of China Geo University, said: "This sapphire in the tomb of King Liangzhuang was not produced in the Ming Dynasty at that time, and it is very rare. The value of cultural relics contained in it is immeasurable. If you have to value it, it will be half that of an ordinary small country. Of course, Professor Yang doesn't mean that the cultural relics in the tomb of King Liangzhuang can really buy half of the country. He just wants to emphasize the preciousness of this cultural relic. So since the Ming Dynasty didn't produce these jewels, where did they come from?
Appraised by the expert group of China Geo University, during the reign of King Liangzhuang, Zheng He made many voyages to the Western Ocean around the Ming Dynasty, which expanded the communication between China and the world. Among the cultural relics unearthed from the tomb of King Liangzhuang, four precious gems, namely ruby, sapphire, emerald and emerald, all came from Southeast Asia. After sorting out the cultural relics and reading the epitaph, it is confirmed that these jewels are foreign tributes brought back by Zheng He when he went to the West!
