If we keep the precepts, it is merit; If you don't obey the precepts, it's Ford, you know. Where does this commandment begin? Honestly, have you achieved ten good deeds, three conversions and five precepts, including ten wishes? I didn't do it, so it's fake, not real. Why not? Your foundation, the so-called basic skills you haven't learned. What is basic skill?
The Buddha tells us in the scriptures that if a Buddhist disciple does not learn Hinayana first, then Mahayana, and the Buddha says that he is not a Buddhist disciple, and the Buddha denies you, then he is not a Buddhist disciple. It can be seen that Sakyamuni Buddha attaches great importance to the education of students, and it is necessary to go from shallow to deep and step by step. Just like reading, he will go to primary school, middle school and university first, and then the Buddha will nod. Hinayana is the Buddha's primary school, Mahayana is the Buddha's university. If you don't learn Hinayana, you will go to university. This Buddha denies you. We got the disease today, not from primary school.
We don't learn Hinayana now and we didn't learn Hinayana in the past. When do we learn Hinayana? Before the early Tang Dynasty, I learned Hinayana very seriously. So at that time, at the end of Sui Dynasty and the beginning of Tang Dynasty, there were two schools of Hinayana Buddhism, Shicheng School and Jushe School. Now these two schools are gone, and few people know their names, or even their names. More than a thousand years, probably at least 1500 years. In this 1500 years, there have been many great virtues of founders of various sects. How did he do it? They used Confucianism and Taoism instead of Hinayana, which is good, so he achieved something. Now if Hinayana stopped learning, Confucianism stopped learning, and Taoism stopped learning, then the Buddha really shook his head when he saw it.
To tell the truth, replacing Hinayana with Confucianism and Taoism is better than Hinayana in the environment of China, because Confucianism and Taoism are all from China, just like eating, which suits our taste very well; Confucianism and Taoism will never lose to Hinayana, so using it is a very unique way. Let's think it over. Today, we have lost Confucianism, lost Taoism and abandoned Hinayana. Therefore, only two or three Buddhists out of ten thousand died. If we have the foundation of Confucianism and Taoism, that is, we are good teachers, thousands of us will study, and no one will fall behind.
Where did Confucianism come from? Confucianism learns disciples' rules, which is the foundation of Confucianism; The Tao begins with induction, and begins with induction on the Tai. Buddha root, ten good practices. We often say that Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism have three roots. Without the foundation of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, you can't do ten good things. That's the reason. He can carry out the ten virtues, three conversions and five precepts of ancient sages. He is really a Buddhist disciple. Why can't he do it now? We don't have the roots of Disciple's Rules or Induction, and now we must know the lessons of these two roots. Over the years, Cai Lixu lay people have talked about the discipleship rules hundreds of times, which is not easy. He not only spoke well, but also did it.
He talked about his own experience in implementing Disciples Rules, which naturally came out in his mind and could impress people. Therefore, we hope that students, students who study Buddhism, should bear in mind that disciples' rules should be implemented in life, in work and in treating people. After this root is rooted, the second root "induction" is rooted, and induction is causal education; With these two roots, it is easy to do ten good deeds, and it is easy to clean the body, mouth and heart. Three conversions and five precepts come true, not fake. In this way, there will certainly be 10 thousand people practicing Buddhism, returning their merits to society, to all beings and to the world, praying for resolving contradictions, stabilizing peace and resolving disasters; Even if the disaster cannot be resolved, it will certainly be alleviated, which is certainly reliable.

The content of Disciple Rules is to be a dutiful son and daughter at home, to be a good student at school, and to truly implement these two words in life. "Don't kill people with kindness, cultivate ten virtues", and put it into practice in Ten Virtues. We must study hard.
The second blessing is that "I have been converted by three times, and I have enough precepts, and I have no dignity." At home, students should learn at least five precepts and three conversions. Third, there are video tapes and text textbooks. Monks must learn the outline of Misha's laws and regulations. The lowest level is Misha's Ten Commandments and Twenty-four Commandments. "Having enough commandments" is the perfection of the Ten Commandments. "Don't commit dignity" is the twenty-four dignity implemented in daily life and dealing with people.
The third kind of blessing, "those who send bodhicitta, believe in cause and effect, recite Mahayana and persuade others to do it", is embodied in the Bodhisattva's original vows. "Earth" is the heart, and "hiding" is the treasure of the heart. This article is the purpose of Tibetan scriptures, and we should learn Tibetan scriptures to develop the treasures in our hearts. This is the basic course for the first two years.
Buddha said: "The three blessings of pure karma are the positive causes of the three Buddhas' pure karma." How heavy this sentence is! How important it is! The third life is past, present and future. These are the real fundamental reasons for us to practice from ordinary people to bodhisattvas and become buddhas in the future. Both the 84,000 practice and the infinite practice are based on these three principles. Without this foundation, it can't be achieved; Just like building a house and laying a foundation, no matter what house is built, the foundation must be compacted.
