Watercolor | Bouquet of Cardamom in early February (imitating ancient girls with hand-painted steps) Text/Leaf mint

First of all, hand-painted watercolor map is a collection of ancient watercolor works copied by illustrator Yaya, and I like her painting style very much.

The title is Du Mu's farewell poem, which describes a beautiful girl:

"Constant curl for more than thirteen years, cardamom in early February.

In Yangzhou, the spring breeze blows all over Sanli Long Street. With beaded curtains, no one can match her beauty. "

As usual, let's start with a finished drawing, which I named "Cardamom" (in fact, this is a semi-finished drawing. Why put semi-finished products? Because the finished product was ruined by my cheap painting. Ouch. How on earth did this painting destroy it? Readers, please read patiently and we will know):

Step 1: Draw a line drawing with a pencil.

Many watercolor beginners, including myself, often wonder: Do you need to draw a line draft? Why don't some people draw line drawings?

After painting for a while, according to my own experience, the answer needs to vary from person to person. For example, if you draw a simple painting, or a freehand painting of flowers, trees and the like, you can play freely on the spot without making a draft, and there may be surprises. However, the picture I am drawing now is more complicated, so I must make a line draft, otherwise I will draw it super! Difficult! Look! (Of course, some professional watercolor retouching may not need typing, which is beyond our discussion ~)

Others will ask: Why can't I always draw line drawings well? Always can't draw well? My answer is: if you don't think it looks good, you must clean it and modify it carefully! Draw until you like it! No one's painting can be done overnight, even if it is a big touch, it must be patiently modified and smeared over and over again. What about you and me as beginners of watercolor? Painting needs to be calm. I have been drawing this cardamom sketch for over an hour. Yes, more than an hour, especially the hand part is so difficult to draw that my paper is almost scratched. It is not shameful to draw slowly, but it is shameful to draw quickly and poorly.

Because I forgot to take a picture after drawing the line draft, I drew a face in the picture below.

Let's briefly describe the steps of the face:

(1) first of all, use a brush to dip in water and gently smear it on your face.

(2) Dilute with yellow and plenty of water, or add a little red, and apply it to the semi-dry face, ears, neck and other skin with a brush (avoid eyes).

(3) Dilute it with red and plenty of water and smear it around the eyes to create the effect of shyness and blush.

(4) Brush your eyebrows with a small brush. Be careful that your eyebrows are soft and not too thick, otherwise they will become crayons. The middle part of the eyebrows should be slightly black and the eyebrows should be slender. Because it is ancient, the more tender the painting, the better.

⑤ eyes. Draw aquamarine diluted with water on the eyeball, and draw the center of the eyeball in black. Be sure to leave highlights, so as to draw the effect of "a pair of eyes in autumn water". It should be noted that eyelashes should be painted very lightly, seemingly without, not thick or hard, and the roots should be separated, which will turn into fly feet with thick mascara and completely lose the sense of ancient style.

Step 2: Draw hair.

Dilute it slightly with black and water. In order not to appear stiff and slightly blend with the color of the face, you can add a little red on the basis of black. Take it off with a brush and apply it to your hair. Pay attention to draw the starting silk at the bun, and the details will make the picture more delicate.

Step 3: Draw gauze sleeves and skirts.

Draw the skin of the arm by the first step of drawing the face. Then dilute it with grass green and plenty of water and gently smear it on the sleeve. You can't paint it very thick layer by layer, but you must paint it gently with a lot of diluted light green to draw the light texture of tulle sleeves.

The nepotism part, with orange water, is laid flat on the nepotism part. Don't always have the same depth, it's too light. You can use a slightly darker orange halo to highlight the layering.

Step 4: Draw a skirt.

Wet the skirt with clear water, dip it in grass green with a brush, gently smear it on semi-dry paper, then deepen it layer by layer and smudge it layer by layer. This process can be continuously modified and polished until you are satisfied.

Due to the shadow, the part near the streamer can be slightly darker. Chest-high places can draw dark green folds and vertical stripes, so that the picture becomes three-dimensional from the plane.

Step 5: Draw a house on the left.

Because I didn't master the skills of the house, I actually painted it for a long time, but I still didn't draw the feeling of fairyland in the original picture.

My clumsy technique is: start with light-colored paintings and deepen them repeatedly.

Dark green with black, diluted with plenty of water, first coat, pay attention to the window part. Black darkened and stained the second lane. Then deepen the third green smear. This part is to carefully compare the original picture, smear it repeatedly, and finally draw the window part. I won't go into details.

Step 6: Draw the correct moon rabbit.

Dilute with orange water and apply it to the full moon. In order to draw the illusory effect of the moon, you can use paper towels to absorb the color of the right hemisphere and create a hazy feeling.

Finally, draw the moon rabbit. Moon rabbit's limbs and ear tips can add some reddish smudges to create a lovely feeling.

Step 7: Improve the details such as osmanthus branches.

Draw details such as osmanthus branches, headband and earrings with small strokes. Whether a painting is beautiful or not depends mainly on the details, so you must never perfunctory details because of impatience. For example, the leaves of sweet-scented osmanthus branches should be smudged with different colors, and the branches should be slender. Earrings should be set aside with highlights to highlight the crystal sense of jewelry.

Perfect the wrinkle details on the skirt, and decorate the gauze sleeves with diamond dark lines (yes, that's right! There are dark lines on the gauze sleeves. Have you seen them? When the picture is dry, you can stamp your beloved seal (well, I put it up).

If only the picture stayed at this moment! Never again, never again, never again, never again! ! !

Let the beauty stay a little longer, tears.

The last step: continue to look for deficiencies and improve the details.

This step is actually very important. As mentioned above, whether a painting is beautiful or not depends mainly on the details.

So, I don't think my lips are perfect. I want to mend my lip line.

Then, me! Hands! Bitch! Yes! ! !

I even shook my hand and ordered a medium size for the little girl! Grandma! Mole! ! !

Ah ah ah! If there is regret medicine in the world, I will definitely drink it all at once! ! !

Have a good picture. Mulberry heart. Tears.

Although my mood was completely destroyed, I patiently finished drawing some details. For example, a jade rabbit with eyes and a skirt with small embroidery patterns.

All right! ! ! Dangdang Dangdang! ! ! Still have to spread flowers! ! ! It took more than eight hours to finish painting! ! ! !

Finally, put a comparison chart. The picture on the left is my copy, and the picture on the right is the original picture in the album "Flower Girl" by illustrator Yaya.

I feel good about myself, except for the matchmaker Mole, who is a wet blanket. . . After all, I am self-taught. I have only studied for half a year, and there is still a lot of room for improvement. Well, learn to encourage yourself!

Yes, the "cardamom" girl is finished like this!

If you think it's not bad, click on "love" to encourage me. I really need encouragement! Give you a heart! ! !

Becoming a butterfly, an original hand-painted watercolor character illustrator, received an invitation from a special editor last week to help them draw illustrations according to the selected articles. As a patient with late procrastination, it took a week to give them a picture _ (:_ "∞) _

That story is probably about a woman who went through a life-and-death parting, then turned from a depressed person to a strong woman in the workplace, and then refused to leave her lover at that time to get back together. Blabla (uninformed c (` д _) ノ┻┻┻┻┻┻┻┻) Interested friends can look at the topics of world events.

As usual, put a picture first. Quite simply, a woman grows butterfly wings, which symbolizes transformation. It's that simple and rude! ε-(__`; The author of the article seems to like blue very much and always uses blue to describe this woman, so I also use blue as the main color of the picture.

Type the manuscript. Because I want to treat the picture as a pure color effect, and I expect that only a part will be crossed out, in order to prevent the picture from being too single, the line drawing needs to be very detailed, meticulous to every hair (there is no line drawing for fear that my hand will break _ (:_ "∞) _)

Then start coloring. The first is to tick the line. I'm used to eating the hardest first. So I started to hook my hair. Although they all use blue hooks, they should be changed to avoid being too monotonous. The density and thickness of lines should be different. At the same time, I also use a dark blue hook in the dark and a shallow lake blue hook in the light.

As for the smoothness of lines, there is nothing to say. Still have to practice, or your hands will shake _ (:_∞) _

After hooking the hair, there are other lines besides wings. By the way, color your eyes. They are all blue, and soon ~ ε-(_ _ `; )

Then you can shadow, just use light blue and purple to express the relationship between light and shade, and use light red to draw lips. Why use purple? Uniform colors look better (I think)

Finally draw wings. This wing belongs to the most beautiful butterfly in the world-the goddess of light. It is about the following

Because the theme of the character on the right is just crossing, the color is just pale. In order to prevent the imbalance of the picture, the color of the left wing should not be too heavy, otherwise it will appear too solid on the left and too empty on the right. The processing here is more transparent.

First smudge the light blue within the wings with wet painting, and pay attention to the white patches on the wings to leave white. When it's dry, use a slightly darker blue hook to draw details, such as the meridians of wings.

Then, erase the pencil line of the manuscript. Colored places are not easy to erase, so try to be light when typing.

Last step, spray some. In order to reflect the flash of the butterfly goddess of light, a toothbrush with bristles is dipped in white pigment, and then the bristles are touched with fingers dipped in water, and white dots are sprayed on the screen. The size of the dot can be controlled by water, and the dot will be smaller if there is less water on hand. The density can be controlled by the distance from the paper and the spraying times. The specific effect will be known by trying it yourself ~ ε-(_ _ `; )。 Finally, dip the pen in white paint and dot it according to the effect, and it's done ~
