The weight of high-speed rail luggage is generally not checked. When the high-speed rail baggage exceeds 20kg, the overweight part can be checked. However, when handling consignment, it should be noted that each piece of checked baggage cannot exceed 50 kilograms, and it is not allowed to carry articles prohibited by the state, nor can it carry valuables such as currency, securities, gold and silver jewelry, archives and precious cultural relics.

Note that if the weight and volume of free luggage cannot meet the following conditions, it must be checked:

Diplomatic personnel shall not exceed 35kg, children shall not exceed10kg, other passengers shall not exceed 40kg, the sum of the length, width and height of each piece of luggage shall not exceed 1.6m, and rod-shaped articles shall not exceed 130cm. The weight of each item can't exceed 20 kilograms.

Large and heavy items are placed in the front or back of each car, where there will be luggage racks. Smaller items can be stored in the luggage rack above or below the seat.

High-speed rail forbidden articles

1. Hardware tools: shovel, baton, crowbar, wrench, weapon, hammer and axe.

2. Food: live crabs, unsealed durian, live fish, self-heating hot pot, live shrimp, self-heating rice, self-cooking pot and stinky tofu.

3. Knives: knives, butcher knives, kitchen knives, pointed scissors, Swiss army knives, ceramic knives, art knives and fruit knives.
