In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), Guan Lin was transferred to the Buddhist scriptures circulation office. Three years later, in the early spring of 193 1, 26-year-old Kuan Lin started his career of "traveling alone in Wan Li with a bowl of rice". First, he went to the tile hall of Jinding Temple in Emei Mountain to worship and sweep the stupa of his master, the 14th abbot (later Jinding abbot). Then down the Yangtze River, I came to Baotong Temple at the southern foot of Hongshan outside Dadongmen, Wuchang, Hubei Province, and listened to the old mage explain the Shurangama Sutra on the top of the giant Buddha. At the end of June, after the lecture, he accompanied Master Toure back to the beautiful house outside Ganximen, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, to study the March Buddhism. At the end of September, Master Toure introduced him to Guanzong Temple in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, where he learned the teachings of Tiantai Sect from Master Landi (1857-65438+August 0932) and Master Baojing (1897- 1940).
In the spring of the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), Guan Lin entered the preparatory class of Guanzong Temple compulsory school. In the spring of the following year, he went to Suzhou Huguo Temple to attend the master Yin Guang (1861-1940) and his stilted master (1883-1963/kloc- In September, he returned to Guanzong Temple and served as the master of Xu Xitang, responsible for managing monks. Soon, he moved to Qita Temple in Ningbo and studied China classical literature with Master Zhong Jing. The following autumn (1935), Master Baojing, who was giving a lecture in Jiujiang, Jiangxi, wrote to ask him for help. He gladly went to JiuJiang Nengren Temple with Master Baojing. After boarding Lushan Mountain, I attended Tolin Temple.
At the beginning of the 24th year of the Republic of China (1936), Guan Lin was invited by Master Zhong Jing, the abbot of Huayan Temple in Chongqing, to give lectures to monks and laymen in Huayan Temple and three nearby schools for more than a year. The following year (1937), on July 7th, the Lugouqiao Incident broke out and War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression began. Soon, Guan Lin returned to Wenshuyuan after a six-year absence. After that, he taught Confucian classics in Eta Ursae Majoris Temple in Romanesque Street in Chengdu (now no longer exists), Zhaojue Temple in Beixiao, Xiangfu Temple in Mianzhu County, Baoguang Temple in Xindu County, Pilu Temple in Wannian Temple in Emei Mountain and Jindingwa Temple, and presided over the Magnolia Basin Society.
193 1 year, Guan Lin asked for leave from Wen Shu College, went out to visit, and visited the world famous temples. He went from Eastern Xia to Shanghai, and then to Ningbo, where he taught at Simingshan Buddhist Temple and studied at the Hongfa Society to listen to the views of the old monk and master Bao Jing on rooftop education. Later, because of his excellent grades, Master Baojing appointed him as the academic director of the Buddhist Research Association and the principal of the temple, and he also studied classical literature with Master Baojing. Three years later, he revisited Hangzhou and asked Chen Mo, Xin Ci, Jing Xiu and other masters for advice. He also went to Suzhou Guobao Temple to practice the Pure Land Method for the old monk Yin Guang and Master Eden. Later, he went to Jiujiang with Master Baojing and went to Lushan to worship his ancestors. At that time, the abbot of Huanglong Temple died, and two people in the temple asked him to act as the abbot. 1936, Master Jing Zong, abbot of Huayan Temple in Chongqing, invited Master Kuanlin to give lectures in Huayan Temple in Sichuan many times. Guan Lin returned to Chongqing, Sichuan, giving lectures at Huayan Temple and Sanxue Jingshe successively, and then returned to Chengdu the following year, giving lectures at Dojo in Zhaojue Temple, Baoguang Temple, Mianzhu Xiangfu Temple and Mount Emei Balutang. As a result, my reputation is getting bigger and bigger, and I admire it. 1944 returned to the Wenshu Institute as the Tibetan master, devoted himself to studying the Tripitaka and teaching Buddhism. Later, he became the master of the hall and served as a guest.
