Look at jade's head.
"Water" is an important factor in jadeite evaluation, commonly known as "water head" in the industry. The jadeite with high transparency is full of water head, which makes it crystal clear and gives people a watery feeling, while the jadeite with poor transparency gives people a dry feeling, which is the head difference. The more transparent the jadeite with insufficient water, the higher its value.
Look at the color of jade.
Emerald appears in various colors because it contains different dye ions: usually white, red, green and purple. Yellow, pink, etc. Pure and impurity-free, it is white, and if it contains chromium, it presents soft and gorgeous light green and dark green, which is called emerald. This variety is the most precious, and people cherish it very much. If it contains manganese, it is lavender and deep purple, often called spring land or lotus root powder land.
Look at the purity of jadeite
Like other precious stones, the purity of jadeite is a major factor in evaluating its value. The defects of jadeite are mainly white and black. When evaluating jadeite, the value of jadeite is determined according to the degree of damage caused by defects to the aesthetic feeling of jadeite. For high-end goods, flaws are serious flaws, but for middle and low-end goods, the impact will be much smaller.
Look at the luster of jade.
Emerald is glassy, translucent or transparent. In addition to good color, high-grade jadeite is also extremely important in texture. Generally, the color is fresh and beautiful, the texture is transparent and the glass with strong luster is the top grade. On the contrary, the varieties with dry texture and poor transparency are the second.
Look at the craft of jadeite
There is a saying in the jadeite industry that "the work and materials are divided equally", which means that the final value of a piece of jadeite is equal to the value of raw materials and the value of carvers. This is of course a bit exaggerated, but it also shows that besides the quality of jade itself, the carver will also affect the value of a jade work.
Even bracelets that seem to have the lowest requirements for sculptors have high requirements for workmanship, and the value of works created by sculptors is naturally much higher than that of ordinary jade sculptors.
Look at the price of jade
Jade is difficult to evaluate, but as long as you have seen and learned more about jade, the price of jade can also be measured. Jade with too low a price is often problematic, and such jade cannot be taken. But generally speaking, jadeite also follows the law of one price and one product.
