Dushan jade is fine and pure, with grease or glass luster, good polishing performance, transparent or slightly transparent. The hardness is 5.5 to 6.5 degrees. Dushan jade is a colorful jade. Generally, five-colored jade composed of two or more colors is brightly colored, which is called: water white jade, white jade, black and white jade, green jade, green white jade, azure jade, sapphire, bright brown jade, topaz, topaz, jet jade and variegated jade.
Varieties in dushan jade can be divided into five categories according to their colors:
White dushan jade: Mainly milky white. Mainly in gray and pink tones, slightly transparent, there are varieties such as water white jade, dry white jade, frost white jade, black and white jade and hibiscus jade.
Green dushan jade: Mainly green and emerald green. There are varieties such as green jade, sapphire and azure jade, and the color is jade, translucent to slightly transparent.
Purple dushan jade: Dark green texture, covered with lavender spots, opaque. There are varieties such as purple jade and bright brown jade.
Yellow dushan jade: Even yellow-green or olive yellow-green is also called orange jade.
Mottled dushan jade: There are more than two kinds of dushan jade, including jet jade, emerald jade, cauliflower jade, five-flowered jade, medium-colored jade, spotted jade and black-flowered jade.
Among the above five categories, dushan jade and Nanyang have the highest values, such as sky blue, transparent water white, hibiscus and emerald.
There are only three or four colors of jadeite at most, and there are only five or six colors of jadeite, such as red, green, white and purple. The colors are distinct, and there are not too many colors in dushan jade.
So dushan jade's appraisal is easy to do.
