3. The next step is interior lighting, which is to emphasize the circular edge. Change the mixing mode of lights from screen to positive superposition, opacity to 40%, and the color of light source to black; In the figure, change the size to 1 pixel; In terms of quality, the scope will increase to 75%, and the others will remain unchanged. (Figure 03)

4. Below are slopes and reliefs. Note: In our example, this is the most critical step, and most shapes of pearls are represented by it. In the structural panel, the style is selected as inner slope, the method is "carving", the depth is 6 10%, the direction is upward, the size is 9 pixels, and it is softened to 3 pixels; In the shadow panel, the angle is -60 degrees, the global light is cancelled, and the height is 65 degrees. In the glossy profile type, first select the preset "rolling slope-decreasing" mode, and then press Figure 04.
Figure 04
Modify the mapping curve, cancel the anti-aliasing option, keep the default colors and modes of highlights and dark tones, but change the opacity to 90% and 50% respectively (Figure 05).
Figure 05
Click the contour panel, click the contour display contour editor, and set the contour curve to a shape similar to Figure 06. You can select "Record" in the contour line type first, and then make a slight change.
Figure 06
The role of contour lines is very obvious, giving pearls a strong reflective effect, and at the same time showing the roundness of pearls well. (Figure 07)
Figure 07
After applying the relief effect and outline, the image has a great relationship with your background color. If you started with a dark fill, your image now looks like a metal ball instead of a pearl. The darker the background color, the more obvious the metal effect. If you fill with light colors, your image may look very close to our purpose. If you use white from the beginning, you have almost got a perfect white pearl. If you want to change the color, just double-click the layer thumbnail.
The color picker pops up in photoshop, and you can choose to change the color of the layer. The following procedure is set for those colors that are too dark. (Figure 08)
Figure 08
Generally, light-colored pearls have a special pearl luster, which is crystal clear and soft. Dark pearls have a metallic luster, but they still have a soft color, so we use color superposition to eliminate too many colors. Select the color overlay style, set the blending mode to bright, the color to white, and the opacity to 52% (Figure 09).
Figure 09
The effect of color superposition is especially obvious for dark pearls. Because of the different mineral elements contained in seawater, pearls have many colors. If you want to get some colorful pearls, you can get them here, such as cream yellow, clove, pink, rose, bronze, dark blue and black, depending on what you like (Figure 10). However, in order to get the best pearls, there are still some tasks to be completed.
Figure 10
6. Anyone who likes pearls knows that the best light-colored pearls are white pearls with a little rose. Let's make this kind of pearl. If you choose the gradient overlay style, according to the default settings, the result may be somewhat frustrating-it looks a bit like a small steel ball (figure 1 1).
Figure 1 1
But don't worry, we can use another layer style to restore its luster, which is the "luster" style. Select "Overlay" in the blending mode of the structure, the color is rgb(225, 159, 159), the opacity is 72%, the angle is 135 degrees, the distance is 8 pixels, and the size is 9 pixels. Select Inverted Cone in the profile style, and then select the antialiasing option. In this way, the halo produced by the mixing of reflection, refraction and interference on the pearl surface can be shown. /
